Gregor Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 Had more eyeballs than must-see matches, which is never a good thing but especially damning in his case. That said, the Quebecers gave the WWF a fun tag team scene for a little while almost single-handedly. That went to pot right around the time they left the division, and Ouellet continued doing good stuff as a singles wrestler in 1995, so that run has to count as a positive for him. Quote
soup23 Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 Had more eyeballs than must-see matches, Amazing line here. Quote
El-P Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 I loved the pirate gimmick. Yeah. Oulette was a bit of a spot monkey although a very impressive one, but he was still green when he showed up as a Quebecer. Never got the opportunities he should have to me. Quote
Jetlag Posted May 5, 2021 Report Posted May 5, 2021 I am surprised old PCO hasn't been brought up again considering he had quite the amazing resurrgence since 2018 or so, becoming insanely over with indy fans, and earning himself several dream matches and even a RoH title run. Also, he popped up in a random chain match against Franz van Buyten in 1991 or so, so that's something too. Quote
strobogo Posted May 5, 2021 Report Posted May 5, 2021 I have to feel like that's more of a negative on ROH than positive on PCO. "Holy shit remember the fat Quebecer and pirate that stole Bret's jacket? He's now old and Frankenstein and still doing flips to the floor and now he's ROH Champion" had a very, very short shelf life of novelty. Quote
Reel Posted May 5, 2021 Report Posted May 5, 2021 he went from "awesome old guy taking stupid bumps on random shows" to "meme wrestler" very quickly Quote
