Kris is joined by Good Ol’ Will (Dangerous Alliance Podcast) & Tim Noel (Wrestling Power) to discuss the year that was 1994 in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. We talk about all the major angles and matches that took place during the year and how the promotion took a drastic shift in talent that really affected attendance. We talk about the rise of The Gangstas and other new stars who were on the rise as well as older ones!!

I coulda sworn that I read that New Jack said "Two less of them to worry about"

As for the 1980s Rock vs modern rock debate for the videos. Would 1970/80s rock be a worse soundtrack for a 1994 video than early 90s Country?

Although I guess the odds of using STP and not having anybody tell their record label are better than getting away with using Brooks & Dunn. I'm not sure if there was any sort of law or norms for using real music for these things if you're only airing it on TV.

When talking about head shaving, people did care about stipulations that weren't followed up on in those days. It was 77 or 78 I think, but it was a hair vs hair match with Lawler v Valiant. Valiant came out on crutches, said he couldn't wrestle, blah, blah. He then whacked Lawler with the crutch, beating him with it. Dundee ran in and took his place with Jarrett thinking fans would forget the stipulation and would want to see Valiant get his ass kicked...except that didn't happen. Fans rioted when they realized there wasn't going to be a head shaving

Another excellent episode and roll on part 3. I never had any idea whatsoever about Bambi and Peggy Lee Leather which is talked about here!

Thanks a ton for doing these shows. I have listened to all three episodes recently, and just loved them. The shows have really got me interested in watching Smoky Mountain, and I have found quite a few of the episodes and big shows online. So thanks a ton. I hadnt watched much SMW before this, so this is a real treat. Keep up the good work.
