One of the best current minis in Meixco. Always is a stand out when the minis appear, but this is more of a pick of someone I want to explore more. Any suggestions and thoughts would be helpful.

Demus has had one of the most interesting career turns of all nominated luchadores. He left CMLL, and built himself a body of really violent indy brawls. That's pretty unique. Like with all luchadores who had great matches in the 2010s and later, I wonder how much of his early work is available. The Pierrothito match still stands as a lucha singles MOTDC.

The Dorada and Bam Bam matches were damn great. It stands out how Demus has no problem stringing extremely complex stuff together even in relatively unimportant throwaway matches. He may not have a large resume of outstanding classics, but his average hitrate is pretty damn high.

Likable, endearing worker who always tries. I just haven't found the matches that would make the foundation of a GWE case for him. There's a spark of greatness in most Demus matches but they never seem to erupt into full fledged greatness. I liked him more as a CMLL mini than as a guy who uses light tubes and tables.

Demus is coming off of what some people are calling a MOTD contender at DEAN~! I think his mini's work is really good, but he excels as an unhinged brawler, may be the second best lucha brawler of the 21st century behind Black Terry.

Really interesting and fun wrestler. It's so cool that as the Mascarita Dorada base guy and a very violent brawler.  Really enjoyed his 2024 work. The 2008 n Pequeno Reyes Del Aire is so fun.

I like his straight matches but find his hardcore death matches boring.

I find it fascinating how this guy can really split the difference in terms of style and be both an incredible, clean base for Minis and one of the dirtiest brawlers/deathmatch guys at the same time, while also being totally in his element working multi-man tags in Japan. I was watching a bunch of Mascarita Dorada/Sagrada matches for his case and found the Demus has been attached to him at the hip for the better part of 20 years to the point where they're still working together in 2025 AAA (just with Demus taking on the Mini Abismo Negro gimmick) and their work is just as good as it was in 00s CMLL despite the various detours they've had; that match is only half a year removed from the insane Demus/Hijo de Fishman fight in Zona23, one month removed from his rematch with Mad Dog Connelly in the ECW Arena, and immediately prior to him touring DDT. Not a lot of guys have the range Demus does and he's definitely got a case because of it even if I can't pinpoint many classics.
