GOTNW
Strong BJ vs The Big Guns brings you the HOSSFIGHTING OF JAPAN PRO WRESTLING. Akiyama vs anyone from the Big Japan team sounds great, and here he focuses on destroying Daichi, and as you might know Akiyama vs young punk has been the best match in puro for the last 10 years and it delivers once again as Akiyama just kills Daichi with brutal knees. Luchaundead
This match was amazing Bodyguard is way too good for a name that looks like him and is named Bodyguard while Zeus is even better and those are the 2 "weak links" of the match while you could on paper also say Daichi is as well because he's so young that is blown way out of the water as his interactions with Akiyama are to die for yes Akiyama as grumpy old man kicking the crap out of rookie punks is always a thing of beauty Daichi has the fire and passion to not only make you feel sympathy for him but also buy in to his comebacks huge. I want to say if you watch one AJPW match this year this is a strong contender for being my recommendation to be that match while other matches have been better (Suwama v Akiyama comes to mind) this match really gives you an amazing cross section of what is happening in AJPW (even if half these guys are BJW wrorkers) while also being a really nice self contained perfect in a bubble match. With all that said it was a little long with some over kill but not too much and over all I'd say it's very good without being quite great probably say easily 3 1/2*
superkix
Similar to the 4/29 BJW tag, Akiyama's involvement was the best thing going in this match. His elbows and knees, especially those repeat knees in the final stretch, looked merciless and Lil Hash was great in his feisty underdog role. I love Hash's corner high knee. The Bodyguard is the same uninteresting Double Dragon stooge but at least Zeus is a little more interesting with his scowling facials and sweet bearhug suplex. Sekimoto was hardly in this thing and Okabayashi delivers a really nice vertical suplex on Zeus. A decent six-man but you're really just in it for the Akiyama/Lil Hash exchanges. Can't wait for the singles match (and hopefully vs. Okabayashi on BJW turf).
G. Badger
A very compact 6 man match. I don't believe all 6 guys interacted with one another during the match...I mean of any significance. It seemed like they paired off like first fall in a lucha trios match. For that, things never really kicked into high gear but, this was an impressive match up nonetheless. Zeus and the Bodyguard are great AJ opponents for Strong BJW if you're looking for a big guy match & Akiyama vs D. Hashimoto reminded me of Mr. Sternness teaching Makato Hashi how to be tough circa 04-05. Recommended match and would like to see more of these guys based off this one
