JKWebb
I thought these guys were working hard here and ended up having a really fun and athletic match. It was borderline great to me, and I think I'd go **** on it.
El McKell
Crowd was super hot, Masanobu Fuchi was fucking awesome as the fiery babyface. ****
Matt Franklin
Yeah the crowd heat helped make this one. There were a lot of cool moments in this - Fuchis rolling short arm scissors, Chavos electric chair drop to the turnbuckle being teo ones that stood out to me - and everything escalated logically. Chavo was really good at this point, and both did the small detail work that really makes a match for me. ***3/
tcg91
Pretty good Junior Heavyweight match between 2 very capable and solid workers, surely different from what the division would go through the following decade or even towards the end of the 80s. It almost seemed like a showcase at times, but a satisfying one anyway; Fuchi got to look good and got plenty of offence, especially over the champions' shoulders, while Chavo looked resilient at all times. Very cool nearfall on a german suplex for Chavo, the flashy pinfall was a fine ending to confirm Fuchi's worth and growth within the company ***1/
