--The next TNA PPV card will be announced tonight. The main event will be Jeff Jarrett vs. Christian Cage for the NWA title unless something has changed in the last 24 or so hours.

That's about the direction I thought they'd go in. Hopefully they go for Sting/Abyss and Rhino/Brown instead of the other way around. I wonder who Samoa Joe's next victim will be.

Meltzer also mentioned that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be present at the tapings tonight. I wonder who he will be wrestling?

The way AJ/Tanahashi ended on the ppv, it should be a rematch since it looked like AJ was mad about how he won with Shannon Moore's interference in the match.

I don't know how to feel about NWA World Champion Christian. Obviously it'd be a step-up from Jeff Jarrett, so I guess that's all that matters. Can't deny that Christian is over and a money promo man either I guess.

I can see Christian being the guy to help TNA over hump. At least more so than JJ, but I think Christian can be a much better Face of the Company in terms of press.

I imagine there will be a AMW-3D match for the tag belts at the next PPV, as well. It should be a cage match.

The heel stable could lose all its gold on 2/12.

Christian winning the title, Jarret taking a break from TV and then returning for a feud that keeps him in the spotlight without making him the focus would help everyone. Jarret vs. Samoa Joe could be an interesting major feud that isn't the focus.

I actually like Jarret, but the focus needs to be taken off him. The company may have needed him to be the focus in the early years, but that's not the case anymore. Hopefully the company and Jarret himself can see that they need to grow beyond Jeff Jarret.

If Christian does win the belt, that will mean the former Team RECK will have all graduated up to world championships (Rhino = ECW and NWA champion, Edge = WWE champion, Kurt Angle = WCW (but not really) and WWE champion, Christian = NWA champion). Who would have that the 5 Second Pose Jug Band would move on to such heights?

Incidentally, if Jarrett doesn't do the job, I can honestly see it getting to WCW levels of the fans throwing garbage into the ring in disgust.

Incidentally, a Monty Brown vs Samoa Joe if Joe plays ring general could make for an interesting #1 contenders match. Have Sting and Jarrett feud if need be.

Christian winning the NWA World Title would be good in a lot of ways. It would further encourage mid-carders in the WWF to jump ship.

Damn, I hadn't even thought about that. I guess it'd make more sense for Christian to hold it now than Sting. Sting is going to be over regardless and has had the world title before. Christian is over but he still needs to reach that next level. I don't know if it'll work but they might as well try.

Actually, I could see Christian holding the title, while Jarrett and Sting feud for awhile, before Jarrett moves back into the title hunt and then we get Monty going after Jarrett.

Makes sense booking wise.

Hey guys, haven't you forgotten that there is money in the chase. I'm sure that'll be Jarrett's excuse if he nonsensically retains.

Jarrett's been getting chased for years now and there's been no money at all. Not a dime, I'd dare to say.

There is money in finding a hot babyface who the audience slowly rallies behind when they know it's only a matter of time before that person wins the title, but for such elements to be in place, the audience has to trust the promotion to pull the trigger, and I'm not sure if TNA's audience trusts them that much or not.

Exactly. But the rest of his booking committee aren't going to tell that to his face, as they know where their bread is buttered, and Dixie Carter doesn't know any better, while Jeff Jarrett probably thinks he needs more exposure or something.

I get the feeling that TNA feels that that hot babyface is Sting, but we're at the point where the sooner the title is off Jarrett the better and who knows how quickly the honeymoon period for Sting will end.
