gordi
So, with big changes coming to Japan in April, we are going to try something a little different in terms of talent exchanges. I'm going to list wrestlers who are available to travel to North America for a given three-month period (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct - Nov). Any promoter can make an offer or ask for a loan of any wrestler on the list. I will have the option of accepting the offer, rejecting the offer, or making a counter-offer. The idea behind the three-month period is it will give us plenty of time to develop stories and feuds and so forth with the visiting wrestlers. If you just want a wrestler for a one-shot deal for a big show or something, you can make a request in this thread or send me a personal message. One-shots can be with any wrestler on the JWA roster, they are not just limited to the wrestlers listed here. If there is a wrestler on my roster that you would like me to make available in the Trades and Loans thread for next quarter or any time in the future, you can make a request in this thread or send me a personal message. gordi
JWA Wrestlers available to travel to North America for April-June 1985: Shiro Koshinaka: Master of the Hip Attack. 6'1" 231 pounds. Charismatic, speaks some English, works an entertaining style.Has experience working in Mexico. In addition to his signature hip attacks, he also used the Power Bomb into a Prawn Hold and Samurai Driver '84 as finishers. Rusher Kimura: 6'1" 275 pounds. Grizzled kick-ass veteran with a sumo background, a powerful style and a fierce look. His real-life career extended from 1964 through 2004(!) Master of the Cage Match in Japan. Speaks pretty good English and has lots of experience working with Gaijin wrestlers. TRADED TO USWA, April through June Super Strong Machine (Junji Hirata):6'0" 254 pounds Great tag team wrestler with a power style and a famous masked gimmick. Uses the Windmill Suplex and Machine DDT as finishers. TRADED TO LUTTE INT, April through June Tatsutoshi Goto: 5'10" 209 pounds. Backdrop specialist with a great sleazy died-blonde heel look. Stuck in a jobber role on the expanded JWA roster, he'd love to get some experience overseas and raise his stock. Shunji Takano: 6'7" 287 pounds. Great bumper and seller for his size. Spent some time in Stampede Wrestling, and also worked in AWA and Portland as Super Ninja. Can speak English. Also stuck in a jobber role in JWA at the moment, eager to travel. Uses a Missile Dropkick as his finisher, which is pretty impressive for a guy his size. Akira Nogami: 5'11" 200 pounds Charismatic and athletic young wrestler who is also stuck at the bottom of the loaded JPW roster. A good choice if you want to add some juniors-style action to your roster. Uses various STF variations, adopted from the next guy on this list, as finishers.TRADED TO Smoky Mountain Wrestling, April through June Masa Chono: 6'1" 212 pounds Needs no introduction, hopefully... but keep in mind that this is the young Chono. Uses the STF and Kenka Kick as finishers. Very charismatic, and still athletic at this point in his career. Could be good in a team with Akira Nogami, or on his own. - Please note that Masa Chono has been booked in the Rougeau Cup tournament from April 28-30 and will not be available on those dates. Toshiaki Kawada, Samson Fuyuki, and Yoshinari Ogawa: (only available as a group this quarter) - Three young boys from the All Japan Dojo with enough experience and talent to match up with any athletic young team and enough toughness to face down any bad-ass team in North America. Kawada is of course already on his way to becoming one of the Greatest of All Time. Fuyuki was his regular tag partner in the 1980s (their team was called "Footloose").Ogawa was Tenryu's protege at this time. Earned the right to go to CMLL for an extended tour. Grimmas
Toshiaki Kawada, Samson Fuyuki, and Yoshinari Ogawa: Mexican undercard trios jobbers with a few wins? Imagine them losing to Brazos or teams lead by Santo? Actually three months in can one of them lose their hair in a hair vs mask match with Santo?
