soup23
I really like seeing these guys go out there and having a balls to the wall 10 minute match. Zumbido fits in really well with Scorpio and Bestia and he does his huge dive through the rops and post in the first fall which was a rudo beatdown. Tarzan Boy works much better in this setting too coming in quick spurts when needed. Niebla and Antifaz are also strong bringing the highspots when they make their comeback and everything is hit cleanly. Second fall is rapid fire action and the finish is really definitive. Third fall is quick and dirty with the tecnicos continuing their dominance and Bestia getting tied up for the pinfall. ***1/
Loss
If you like action, this is your match! Everyone looks great and aims to dazzle, and sometimes, that alone can be pretty cool. Zumbido is just awesome. I've said it before, but he really is a Shawn Michaels with better execution and more offense. He really sets the tone here and everyone gives their best in this short, but high-octane match that manages to further rivalries and pop the crowd all at once. I remember how you'd always hear lucha fans talk about Nitro matches like they weren't really worked in a lucha style, and that's true. This of course was, but it was also incredibly accessible to anyone going into the style cold, and it would have absolutely worked as a Nitro match just the same. ***3/
ohtani's jacket
Am I the only one? Yeaah. Am I sexual? Yeaah. Los Guapos' entrance continues to amuse me. We haven't seen fast paced lucha like this in a while. It was clipped to shit but it didn't prevent the workers from pulling out the stops. Zumbido was flying. I mean it. That dude achieved takeoff. Everyone else stepped it up a notch too. It was almost like a lucha workout. Worth watching for a different beat to most of the lucha we've seen this year. Tim Evans
You know, you expect Zumbido to do crazy dives and bumps like a CMLL version of Psicosis. I did not expect Antifaz to out dive him. That dive he did in the second caida was nuts. This was a fun match with some motivated tecnicos and Guapos doing just enough to make this real good. Zumbido is just awesome and holds this together. Easily the most underrated guy in early/mid-2000s CMLL.
Moonsault Marvin
This started with Salvaje nicely brawling with Niebla, but the match turned into a fast paced, high flying bout. Zumbido shined with his crisp dives, but the other guys didn't look quite as good. I wasn't crazy about the tie up finish being a submission, but overall, it was a fun match with a lot of action.
