soup23 Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 This was the first marquee 1 vs 1 Toryumon matchup we have seen and it didn’t disappoint. SUWA is used as the base for most of the match and grinds down Dragon Kid with dominant and power offense. DK is able to even up the score by hitting some highspots. I enjoyed the amount of time DK recovered after hitting those big highspots putting over the damage that Suwa has done. DK nails the Dragon Rana from the top rope with great perfection for a nearfall until interference from Crazy Max manager. Suwa also hits a low blow and then a version of a Canadian destroyer almost for the victory. A big brawl breaks out after the match with Suwa ripping off DK’s mask. Hakushi makes the save and carries DK to the back. Good stuff. ***1/2 Quote

SUWA again does a fantastic job bumping for Dragon Kid’s offense and cheating to get the upper hand. The mask tearing again is on point and is hopefully leading to a lucha de apuestas between them. TARU saving SUWA after Dragon Kid hit the Dragonrana was awesome as it was a neat false finish and didn’t see SUWA kicking out of Dragon Kid’s finisher. The finishing spot with SUWA countering Dragon Kid’s rana into a roll up was neat also. The post match chaos with SUWA and TARU continuing the beating on Dragon Kid and Jinsei Shinzaki making the save was great.***1/2 Quote
Laney Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 This match had a nice dynamic of Dragon Kid being the plucky babyface hitting all the highspots while SUWA was a prick trying to grind Dragon Kid down and use dirty tactics. Both guys played their roles greatly here with SUWA tearing at Dragon Kid's mask and Dragon Kid perfectly hitting all of his high flying moves. Great nearfall here with the Dragon Rana being broke up from outside interference. Neat little finish here too with SUWA countering Dragon Kid's rana. ***1/2 Quote

DK has some fiery hope spots, with SUWA acting as a terrific base for his high-flying offense, but SUWA is just craftier and more willing to bend the rules. *** Quote
