KawadaSmile
Velveteen is MONEY. Oozes charisma, airbrushes his opponent's face in his attire, has incredible mannerisms... and of course, the top tier entrances. The 30 or less knockout was a fun semi-stipulation to the match, and did they deliver. Crowd was so much into it from the get go. A fun slugfest with some sloppy moments. Ohno is a good base to make people shine (like Sullivan on the previous Takeover), but man did Dream make this match work wonders. Fun stuff. Dream deserves to be in the main roster after some polishing - that first Death Valley Driver spot was SCARY
ShittyLittleBoots
Kassius Ohno is one of my all-time favorites. He's one of the greatest pro wrestlers ever as far as I am concerned. His Kawada color attire = 5 stars. The match however, was pretty damn dull. Worst match of his since like 2015 I'd say - I liked the beginning w/ them playing Velveteen's "I am gonna knock him out in 30 seconds!" promo into it, but after that bit was done, it got painfully boring. And it's not because of Ohno. He was good. Definitely not his best performance, but he was fine. I would say that 100% the reason for this match being as dull as it was is The Velveteen Dream. Most of the match saw him straight up dominate Ohno. His work on top was so goddamn boring & sucked the life out of the match (at least for me). It's a shame because I was actually really looking forward to this, like as I mentioned I hold Ohno in very high regard & I really liked what the Dream had to offer in his matches vs. Aleister Black & Johnny Gargano, but yeah, here his performance was a complete miss. **
Cap
This was a miss for me also. I was really excited for it because I am a big fan of both men, and I think they had a good idea, but ultimately it was just eh. Dream's control segment was just ok. It felt flat to me in places. There were some obvious misses where the two were just not on the same page. Sometimes it just happens I suppose. I think these two have a better match in them, but this one didn't do much for me.
