sek69
It might be due to the low expectations I had going in, but I thought the show last night was pretty solid. Yeah, it was too long but that's how WWE rolls so what can you do? The matches all delivered, I mean we probably had the greatest match Cass is ever going to have in his life due to Bryan's sheer force of will. The Nia/Ronda match was just amazing to see how much Ronda "gets it" already. Just the whole sequence where she was standing on the apron looking at the top rope, and you can see her face going through the whole gamut of "I don't really want to go to the top rope....I need to pull out the stops to beat the giant....fuck it, let's go" was something you don't see people who have been in wrestling for years pull off. Zoo Enthusiast
I thought it was a really solid show, as well. Nothing was utterly terrible. I didn't like the Asuka finish and thought the AJ match was too long but as a whole it was the best show since Rumble.
Alucard
I think Alexa has had some very good matches against plenty of opponents and has proven to be quite good in the ring. Yeah she didn't do much in the MITB match but I thought she was the star of the Chamber match with that crazy Twisted Bliss off the pod. Her match against Asuka from Jan 1 and her series with Sasha last August are two of my favorites, plus the Nia matches being way better than expected. Her title reigns all come down to timing more than anything. Outside of the first one being just because she was the new rising star. She won it a second time only because Naomi got injured and dropped it right back to her as soon as Naomi was back. She beat Bayley because Bayley had a long reign and literally beat every other woman on RAW at the time so it was time. This one feels more like just to be the transition to Ronda at SummerSlam. SomethingSavage
The obvious problem with the Twisted Bliss off the top of the pod being that Sasha was just showing her teeth as a heel by betraying Bayley, and Bliss was meant to be the heel champ fighting for sheer survival. Booking her to do the big risky stunt down the finishing stretch was some of that weird, ass-backwards stuff they do nowadays and try to brush it aside as just a sign of the changing times. It's not. It's just a poor decision. That's a high spot reserved for babyfaces - not for the heel champ who is about to tear into the fan base with a mocking promo a few moments later. I have no issues with her in-ring work though. She's improved by leaps & bounds since the Becky series, for sure.
