RIP Don Leo Jonathan

Legendary big man known for great athleticism for someone his size. Mainly forgotten to time, as he last wrestled in 1980 and there isn't a ton of footage. He was a major star 50s-70s. Meltzer gives a brief overview of his career here. I'm sure the bio in the WON will be really good

Very sad to hear, first found out abut him oddly enough from the Giant Gram AJPW games on SEGA Dreamcast and ended up looking him up and was super impressed with his ability and athleticism for his size. Would've loved to see more footage of him as he was such an incredible guy to watch move around and do things in the ring decades before you saw guys his size have a such repertoire of athletic maneuvers.

Don Leo Jonathan and Andre the Giant had a huge rivalry in Montreal during the 70s. I think Andre had a lot of respect for Jonathan and what he accomplished. Another true great that we lost.

He was my biggest takeaway from the All Japan Classics shows other than the Destroyer. I wish there was more of his stuff out there.
