I actually tried to start going through 2010's major matches and things I thought looked interesting but it's a pretty rough year. A lot of underwhelming main events and a lot of the better workers given very little to work with underneath. It seems 2011 is where things pick up. RingoPlaysDrums Posted April 5, 2020 Report Share Posted April 5, 2020 I'd argue 2012 is when things really started to pick up. 2011 was stronger than 2010, no doubt, but in 2012 you had a number of high end matches that were better than almost anything from the previous two years imo. Brock's return and Bryan's push into a more prominent position probably had a lot to do with that. And then at the end of the year the Shield debuted and the rest is history. 2013-2016 especially were really strong in-ring years for WWE for me. It was really the Batista promos that I liked from it though. That reminds me I really loved the the Mania match vs HHH just not something I’d go back and watch. Always liked the Orton-Rhodes-Dibiase opener. I like openers in general and especially Orton during that time frame. Crowd energy was good and work was tight. I really liked the Orton-Christian title change on Smackdown a year later. I just can’t get into watching back much older Shawn stuff so left off the Taker match. There was an Edge-Christian match on a RAW that I had written down but yea 2010 didn’t have much for me either.
