kevinmcfl
This is a far too early list of rookies in 1987. It might be interesting to hold a 2 round international draft + our North American draft next year. We can discuss this at a later date. As always, this list will be ever changing. I admit that in terms of wrestling history, we are getting out of my comfort zone. If you have any other rookies to add, please let me know. 1987 ROOKIE LIST Art Barr Balls Mahoney Bob Cook Carl Ouellet Curtis Hughes CW Bergstom Drew McDonald Earthquake Eddie Guererro Glacier Great Malumba (To retire after 1988) Jerry Sags Joey Mags John Paul Johnny Grunge Jonathan Holiday JT Southern Kenny Bolin (Manager) Konnan Mad Dog Rex (To retire after 1988) Mark Laurinatis Maxx Payne Mighty I Ton Mighty Wilbur (To retire after 1988) Mike Allen (To retire after 1987) Pat Brady (To retire after 1989) PN News Rex King Ricky Hunter (To retire after 1987) Ross Hart (To retire after 1988) Scott Peterson (To retire after 1989) Scott Steiner Sid Eudy Shaun Simpson Steve Cox Taz Tony Nardo (To retire after 1987) Trudy Adams Ursula Hayden Vlad Petrov (To retire after 1987)
Blehschmidt
PN News and Cannonball Grizzly are the same guy. Nailz is already in the game as Kevin Kelly
rainmakerrtv
Sid Vicious' last name is spelled Eudy.
rainmakerrtv
Yay, John Tenta! Or , as Dino Bravo would say, Da Hurt-Quack! Also, missing from the list are two of my Portland boys, Art Barr and CW Bergstrom, plus Mr. Curtis "Big Cat" Hughes.
kevinmcfl
Thanks for the help guys. This list is going to have to be a group effort. Unless they were a pretty big name, most likely I do not know who they are; especially if they went by more than one name.
rainmakerrtv
One more for the list : Darryl Peterson AKA Maxx Payne/ Man Mountain Rock.
kevinmcfl
Payne is on the list

kevinmcfl
No problem. Like I said before, this list is going to be a group effort. Thanks for researching it and checking what I have.
Scarlet-Left
For my part, I've spotted: Brandi Mae (real name Trudy Adams, "Amy the Farmer's Daughter" in GLOW), Heidi Lee Morgan, Malia Hosaka, and Princess Delta Dawn. Edit: I originally also included Cynthia Moreno but I can't find any evidence of her ever wrestling in North America.

rainmakerrtv
I believe that Mark Pile/Pyle on the current Free Agent Roster and Pvt. Pile/Pyle on the draft list are both the same person (Mark Scarpa, son of Chief Jay Strongbow).

Blehschmidt
Apparently Dan Denton that is on this list, and Dennis Turner who is currently in the free agents list are the same person.

rainmakerrtv
Wikipedia has Steve Cox retiring in 2006, and he is working in places like WCW, GWF and UWF-i into the 1990s.
kevinmcfl
I had used wrestlingdata.com which never had him in more than 10 matches after 88. I just checked cagematch.net which has him over 10 in 1996. I will change it now. Thanks for the info
Blehschmidt
It would be a shame if he only got to "Do It, To It" for 2 years!

Thanks for the info Temporarily interrupting this convo but for this situation, it's good to have multiple reference sites because both Cagematch and wrestlingdata are great in their own way but one often misses infos that the other doesn't have. So better use that together to make things work. End of interruption and back to your regular scheduled programming
Blehschmidt
Can't you see we are trying to have a conversation about one of the most influental and beloved professional wrestlers of the last 50 years, Steve "Do It, To It" Cox!!!
