Makai Club #1
I've noticed recently that everyone tends the take bumps in the middle of the ring rather than the sides, unless it leads to a foot on the ropes or an apron spot. It can be awkward at times, especially when setting up top rope moves.
Laz
The center of the ring has the most give, that's why. One of the things Excalibur was great at during that peak 2008-2013 PWG run was explaining why bumps on the apron or suplexes into the corner were more devastating. And count me in on the "overtly setting up for the hard cam" stuff. It's second only to the increasingly convoluted gymnastics spots as seemingly minor peeves of mine that matter way more than they should. strobogo
Of course I know why they take bumps in the middle of the ring due to the most give, but also think of how many apron bumps you'll see on any given show all over the world and these dudes can't just bump a little off center so as to not have to awkwardly scoot like idiots for the next spot?
