Super fun trios opener.

Mr. Iguana's character and presentation seems tailor made for WWE.

And WWE obviously sees something in Octagon Jr. since he was added to Money in the Bank against Dom for the IC Title in a surprise announcement. Didn't have that on my bingo card!

I actually like that Konnan isn't saying too much. Graves has his marching orders and is acquitting himself pretty well all things considered, buts its nice that we don't have multiple voices constantly screaming over the wrestling.

Even when Konnan is being completely sincere, it sounds like he's spouting BS. Is it just me?

So I watched and enjoyed the Worlds Collide show (except for the Psycho Clown match, cause I can't stand that guy) but I just decided to look at the 411 review of the show, and Holy Shit, the people they have reviewing shows now are out of their fucking minds.

I know star ratings are subjective, but seriously....

Iguana/Aerostar/Octagon vs Lince/Del Toro/Dragon Lee - 4 1/4

Vaquer/Vice vs Dalys/Tormenta - 3 1/2

Legado vs Psycho/Pagano/Wagner - 3 1/2

Page vs Evans vs Laredo vs Fenix - 4 3/4

Vikingo vs Gable - 5

Yikes...

I usually don't ever think about what my star ratings would be, but I can safely say they wouldn't be nearly that high.

It was a fun show - I enjoyed it - but come on!

Most of it it was fine. I was pleased to see Gable/Vikingo doing more lucha grapple/submission fuckery instead of more head scissors and arm drags lucha. I also popped they randomly did an Awesome/Tanaka spot near the end of lucha vs sports entertainment match.

Felt much more like a WWE show than a AAA show, but AAA has also been dogshit for like 20 years. Really could have used lucha party crowd lighting, though. Actually the one talent that stood out the most to me was Je'Von Evans. Once he puts on some bulk, that young man is going to be big match heavyweight Ospreay tier fast.

God bless. On paper that looks like the greatest show ever or certainly near the peak of professional wrestling. It wasn't quite that for me but I am very glad that you enjoyed it that much.

What's the consensus on Lyra Valkyria? She seems very sound and capable but just about never wows me or stands out in any way other than never really shitting the bed. She's good. And never great.

She's missing something for sure. In ring I've never seen her have a bad match but outside that she's just bland.

Just for clarification, those were not my ratings!! That was the 411 wrestlng reviewers analysis of the show.

Just started watching and why are there so many empty seats at this Money in the Bank?  And they are luminated, so it looks so much worse.  I hope it gets better at the end

I like her. Effective enough as a babyface and works well in a TV format, but she's somewhat hindered with a gimmick that has no real charisma behind it. She fits the narrative of "good wrestler, but little personality" that Daniel Bryan was (falsely) saddled with. Though I have been impressed by her PLE matches against Nia and Becky in the last year or so.

Wow. Larry Csonka rolling over in his grave.

Men's MitB was a ton of fun. Even though I knew Seth was winning, the match made me doubt the outcome enough times.

Jacob Fatu finally destroying Solo was also a blast.

I hope the "main event" is 15 minutes or less instead of a forced "epic." Cena is cooked, Paul is inexperienced, Cody and Jey are meat and potatoes.

It looked fuller the later they got in the show, LA crowds are famously late arriving due to it taking 2 hours to get anywhere due to traffic.

I enjoyed both ladder matches tonight a lot more than expected. Nothing beats a PLE on UFC night as they have a hard out and can't jerk off for 30 minutes in between matches.

I stand corrected. Barring some sort of miracle and non-match we're getting an overrun and cutting into the UFC show.

I'm surprised anyone believed Meltzer's speculation masquerading as news on that.

Worlds Collide bleeding into the Money in the Bank pre-show told me WWE was not concerned that MitB would bleed into UFC.

Say what you will, I don’t think anybody predicted R-Truth being a significant facet of Cena’s last run. Whether it was an audible or a genuine “we tricked the dirtsheets” swerve, it’s kinda fun!
