ErictheDragon Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 RVW's first promo doesn't disappoint. Johnny Hotbody was the star of the show as he takes down the Crazee before joining the top heel group in the territory.
kevinmcfl Posted December 26, 2025 Report Posted December 26, 2025 I could just hear all the boys down in the holler talking about all those pink guys on the rasslin last night and that weirdo looking for the bathroom. Very entertaining! Tasha seems to have the boys wrapped around her finger as they do what ever she asks.
jeff5819 Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 Love your shows plenty happening in such a short show. Your proof that not every territory in the wars needs big names or long shows to produce a worth while show that keeps people tuning in each week to see what happens.
spaldoni Posted December 28, 2025 Report Posted December 28, 2025 Show starts off with some RVW comedy. What's with this guy? LOL Hotbody gets the win and cuts a nice heel promo PnP/Morton/Williams tear the house down. I can imagine the studio fans going wild for this. Hotbody gets more heat and puts an end to the match. If Wild Dog gets involved, this feud is going to get crazy.
LastStopTour Posted December 29, 2025 Author Report Posted December 29, 2025 Voiceover: It’s time for Championship Wrestling on WOAY-TV, Channel 4! John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” plays to wrestling action to kick off the program. Championship Wrestling December 28th, 1990 TV Taping - WOAY-TV, Channel 4 Studios Oak Hill, West Virginia Announcers: Chris Cruise Referee: Bruno Laurer & Nate Whitlock - Host Cruise welcomes everyone to Championship Wrestling hoping they all had a wonderful Christmas. - Cruise is joined by Commissioner Tom Renesto Jr. who wants to talk about last week’s incident on television where the newest member of Pretty in Pink, Johnny Hotbody used a chair on Tony Williams and injured the young man who will be unable to wrestle the next two weeks … let’s run the tape … x-x-x-x-x ROLL THE TAPE x-x-x-x-x WAIT THAT’S JOHNNY HOTBODY … AND HE’S GOT A CHAIR! JOHNNY HOTBODY’S JOINED PRETTY IN PINK! Hotbody slides into the ring and nails both Morton and Williams across the back at Tasha’s direction. Pink Assassin and Bodacious Pretty Boy hold down Williams as Hotbody drops the chair on him before leaping into the air and landing across it with a legdrop that leaves the young man writhing in pain. HERE COMES THE COMMISSIONER! HERE COMES WILD DOG! HERE COMES SCOTTY SUMMERS! x-x-x-x-x END THE TAPE x-x-x-x-x - Renesto says that Pretty in Pink was Disqualified for the interference but we have a much bigger issue here with Mr. Hotbody going out of his way to injure another wrestler who will not be able to compete for at least the next 2 weeks. For that, Johnny Hotbody is being fined $100 for each week Tony Williams is unable to compete … UH OH! HERE COMES TROUBLE! - Tasha leads Pretty in Pink out to a chorus of boos. She complains about the Commissioner and all these lousy fans having it out for her and her perfect team of wrestlers. She runs down West Virginians for being jealous of “REAL MEN” and Renesto for being jealous of wrestlers actually going somewhere with their careers unlike him. Chris Cruise reminds everyone that Tom Renesto Jr. is a second generation wrestler from a VERY successful family. Tasha tells him to shut his mouth which brings on more booing. Renesto tells Tasha not to push him because he will start with suspensions next, if she forces his hand. Chris Cruise throws it to a commercial break! ----- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----- - Don E. Allen versus Scotty Summers. Summers continues with his winning streak over the new Allen who shows very little in the match. - Following the win, Summers joins Cruise and talks about Pretty in Pink and tells Shane Morton, if he ever needs a hand against them, he’s there for Morton! ----- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----- - Back from commercial and the fans are excited as Cruise talks about Championship Wrestling and runs down the weekly house circuit and where to catch all the upcoming action. He also talks about Pretty in Pink who are in action today in a 6-man tag team match. - 6-Man Tag Team Match: Pretty in Pink w/Tasha versus the Red Terror, The Ninja and Black Mask. Our first 6-man match with the full PiP team in action. The fans, of course, boo them to high heaven, making them the most hated group in Championship Wrestling and perhaps, all of West Virginia. Squash match as Pretty in Pink puts a beating on their opponents. Lots of double, even triple teaming from PiP with no pin attempts being made, preferring to continue the beating. Tasha taunts the fans as she circles the ring while also distracting the referee. After enough of a beating, she directs her men to pin all three of their opponents and after being declared the winners, the toss the referee from the ring and start stomping their downed opponents. Shane Morton hits the ring and goes on the attack! HERE COMES THE COMMISSIONER! HERE COMES WILD DOG! HERE COMES SCOTTY SUMMERS! Tasha pulls her troops from the ring as The Commissioner gets a microphone and announces next week … 6-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH! PRETTY IN PINK VERSUS THE TEAM OF SHANE MORTON, SCOTTY SUMMERS AND WILD DOG! We have pandemonium in the ring as the fans cheer Shane Morton and Wild Dog shaking hands in the background as Chris Cruise signs off with a reminder to come back next week for more Championship Wrestling!
ErictheDragon Posted December 29, 2025 Report Posted December 29, 2025 Championship Wrestling clearly knows where the money is because PIP was all over the show, from verbally jousting with the commissioner to winning the main event an finally brawling with the top faces of the territory.
kevinmcfl Posted December 30, 2025 Report Posted December 30, 2025 Championship Wrestling from West Virginia seems like the perfect promotition to be led by a heel team and PIP is perfect. I could just see the fans hatred growing by the week! Great job. Love the $100 fine... so realistic for the time and place!
spaldoni Posted Tuesday at 10:51 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:51 PM I agree with the others, PnP are getting some nuclear heat right now, so smart move making them the focus. Also, Morton, Dog and Sommers will get a huge babyface shine going up against them. Perfect main event set up for next week. I know I will be tuning in.
LastStopTour Posted Wednesday at 02:48 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:48 AM Voiceover: It’s time for Championship Wrestling on WOAY-TV, Channel 4! John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” plays to wrestling action to kick off the program. Championship Wrestling January 4th, 1991 TV Taping - WOAY-TV, Channel 4 Studios Oak Hill, West Virginia Announcers: Chris Cruise Referee: Bruno Laurer & Nate Whitlock - Host Cruise welcomes everyone to Championship Wrestling in the New Year! He talks about this week’s Main Event 6-man match made last week by Commissioner Renesto with Pretty in Pink taking on Shane Morton, the Wild Dog and Scotty Summers. That should be a good one with Morton’s Crew backed by Tony Williams. - A happy Tasha comes out to celebrate today’s victory early. PiP will have an easy victory against Shane Morton and his “bums” which draws the ire of the fans. She GUARANTEES victory for her men today! Chris Cruise throws it to a commercial break! ----- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----- - Thunder versus The Mountain Dew Kid. Some newcomers as we creep into the New Year, an enthusiastic Kid taking on the masked man who has no qualms about bending the rules some. Why is it almost ALL masked men cheat? Thunder gets caught by the referee about to cheat and MDK makes good use of the moment to roll him him up for the victory! - Following the win, Mountain Dew Kid joins Cruise and talks about being ready to wrestle anyone and everyone! ----- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----- - Back from commercial and the fans are excited as Cruise talks about Championship Wrestling and runs down the weekly house circuit and where to catch all the upcoming action. He also talks about todays 6-man tag team action. There’s a quick rundown of the feud and how it has escalated to this match today and looks to be taking on even more steam! - 6-Man Tag Team Match: Pretty in Pink w/Tasha versus Shane Morton, the Wild Dog and Scotty Summers w/Tony Williams. Williams, who has his arm in a sling was attacked by Johnny Hotbody two weeks ago is still unable to wrestle but looks to be in good spirits as he joins his compatriots. This one is off and running right from the bell and is very stiff, unlike last week’s 6-man match. The fans are eating it up every time the faces get their licks in and the heels take a shot. Several time Tasha tries to rally her forces but is countered by Williams each time she tries to somehow cheat. All 6 get a chance to shine inside the ring before Scotty Summers gets caught up in the numbers game and is worked over. Doesn’t last too long until Morton and Wild Dog get in and run the ring, sending PiP running to the outside. More brawling around the outside before referee Whitlock gets control of things and sends everyone but Summers and Hotbody to the outside. With the referee trying to keep and eye on the war outside the ring as well as the in-ring action, he never sees Tasha slide a chair into the ring for Johnny Hotbody! Tony Williams, yanks the sling off and intercepts the chair before rearing back with it and loudly whalloping Johnny Hotbody with it. Down goes Hotbody! There is no mistaking that sound and Nate Whitlock calls for the bell immediately. Tony Williams stands tall in the ring holding the folding chair in the background as Chris Cruise signs off with a reminder to come back next week for more Championship Wrestling!
Jimmy Jack Punk Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago It's fun to see what you do with people I actually know like Bruno, Nate, Shane Morton and Tasha. Looking forward to seeing this promotion grow and unfold as you move forward.

As in "know know" or familiar with their work? Reason I ask, I am looking for any information about Shane's brother Steve who also wrestled. For the life of me can find no start date on the guy.
Jimmy Jack Punk Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I've met and worked on shows with them all in the past. I haven't seen Shane in quite a while. Not sure when his brother got started.
LastStopTour Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago That's my million dollar question because I would love to add him to the roster but I can't find anything on him as far as starting dates or matches.

I know a couple of people I can ask. I'll see what I can find out.
