Grimmas Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Ohtani's Jacket said: He was a fantastic worker (one of the best to debut in the 80s) and an even better babyface. His selling was excellent and he excelled at playing the fired up babyface. Whether it was because of his perceived disability (deaf and non-verbal) I'm not sure, but he wouldn't take shit from anyone, which often led to some tremendously heated bouts. Alan Kilby vs King Ben (10/7/81) Alan Kilby vs Fit Finlay (3/23/83) Alan Kilby vs Terry Rudge (6/18/81)
club Posted Saturday at 01:20 PM Posted Saturday at 01:20 PM Might sneak onto my list. Such an under-appreciated guy. The King Ben match is almost proto-UWF and one of the best matches of the era. His deafness isn't overplayed but adds a neat wrinkle to his matches.

Jetlag Posted Monday at 09:40 AM Posted Monday at 09:40 AM The man made his debut in 80s? You're telling me he was less than 2 years in wrestling when the King Ben and Terry Rudge matches happened? Guy looked and worked like a seasoned veteran badass if I've ever seen one.

He made his in-ring debut in 1967, but didn't debut on television until 1980, which may or may not have been what i was referring to.
