LowBlowPodcast Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Hey everyone, Now, let me preface this by saying this is not a NEW GAME... this is just a FANTASY DRAFT FOR FUN! I have been in the mood to do a fantasy draft lately. I put together a full list of 350 wrestlers, promotions, managers, and announcers. The caveat is that you don't pick a promotion - you draft one - and you can draft that promotion at any time... doesn't have to be the first pick. Looking to see if anyone would like to partake and have some fun. Hopefully do it live via Google Sheets. Let me know if you'd be interested in partaking! AGAIN - THIS IS NOT A NEW GAME - THIS IS NOT TAKING OVER A PREVIOUS GAME - THIS IS NOT OVERLAPPING ANYTHING - IT IS JUST A FANTASTY DRAFT FOR FUN! PROMOTIONS (20) WWF (Northeast) — Vince McMahon Sr / Vince McMahon Jr AWA (Midwest) — Verne Gagne Jim Crockett Promotions / Mid-Atlantic — Jim Crockett Jr World Class Championship Wrestling (Dallas) — Fritz Von Erich Mid-South Wrestling — Bill Watts Memphis Wrestling (CWA) — Jerry Jarrett Georgia Championship Wrestling — Ole Anderson Championship Wrestling from Florida — Eddie Graham WWC Puerto Rico — Carlos Colon Stampede Wrestling — Stu Hart Southwest Championship Wrestling — Joe Blanchard Pacific Northwest Wrestling — Don Owen Central States Wrestling — Bob Geigel Southeastern Wrestling (Continental) — Ron Fuller All-Star Wrestling (Vancouver) — Al Tomko Grand Prix Wrestling — Emile Dupree Maple Leaf Wrestling (Toronto) — Frank Tunney International Wrestling (Montreal) — Gino Brito ICW (Poffo Territory) — Angelo Poffo WWA (Indianapolis) — Dick the Bruiser Wrestlers Abdullah the Butcher Adrian Adonis Afa Al Madril Al Perez Al Costello Alex Gerrard Ali Bey Andre the Giant Angelo Mosca Angelo Mosca Jr. Angelo Rivera Animal Archie Gouldie Armand Rougeau Arn Anderson Art Crews Austin Idol Bad News Allen Baron Von Raschke Barrabas Barry Windham Ben Bassarab Big John Studd Bill Ash Bill Dundee Bill Rathke Billy Jack Billy Red Lyons Billy Robinson Black Bart Black Gordman Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan Bob Armstrong Bob Backlund Bob Brown Bob Marcus Bob Orton Jr. Bob Sweetan Bobby Bass Bobby Colt Bobby Duncum Bobby Eaton Bobby Fulton Bobby Jaggers Bobo Brazil Boris Zhukov Brad Armstrong Brad Rheingans Bret Hart Brett Wayne Sawyer Brian Adias Brian Blair Bruce Hart Bruiser Brody Bruno Sammartino Buck Robley Buddy Landell Buddy Roberts Buddy Rose Bugsy McGraw Butch Reed Butcher Vachon Buzz Sawyer Buzz Tyler Chavo Guerrero Chick Donovan Chicky Starr Chief Jay Strongbow Chris Adams Chris Colt Chris Markoff Chris Youngblood Cocoa Samoa Crusher Blackwell Curt Hennig Dan Johnson Davey Boy Smith David Schultz David Von Erich Dennis Condrey Dewey Robertson Dick Murdoch Dick Slater Dino Bravo Dirty Rhodes Dominic DeNucci Don Bass Don Fargo Don Kernodle Don Muraco Dory Funk Jr. Doug Somers Doug Vines Dusty Rhodes Dutch Mantell Dutch Savage Dynamite Kid Ed Wiskowski Eddie Gilbert El Bracero El Gran Apollo El Santo Negro Eric Embry Ernie Ladd Fidel Sierra Frank Dusek Fred Marzino Frenchy Martin Gama Singh Gary Hart Gary Royal Gene Anderson Gene Kiniski George Steele George Weingroff George Wells Gerry Morrow Gino Brito Gino Hernandez Goldie Rogers Goliath Goro Tsurumi Gran Markus Great Malumba Greg Valentine Gypsy Joe Hacksaw Duggan Haku Harley Race Hawk Hector Guerrero Hercules Ayala Hubert Gallant Hulk Hogan Iceman Parsons Iron Mike Sharpe Ivan Koloff Ivan Putski Jack Brisco Jake Roberts Jacques Rougeau Jeff Jarrett Jeff Sword Jeff Van Camp Jerry Brisco Jerry Lawler Jerry Oates Jerry Oske Jerry Stubbs Jesse Barr Jesse Ventura Jim Neidhart Jimmy Doo Jimmy Garvin Jimmy Golden Jimmy Hart Jimmy Jack Funk Jimmy Snuka Jimmy Valiant JJ Dillon Jody Hamilton Joe Marcus Joe Savoldi Johnny Mantell Johnny Powers Johnny Rich Johnny Rodz Johnny Valentine Johnny Weaver Johnny Wilhoit Jonathan Boyd Jose Estrada José González Jose Lothario Jos LeDuc JR Hogg Juan Reynosa Jules Strongbow Junkyard Dog Kamala Keith Hart Ken Lucas Ken Mantell Ken Patera Ken Raper Ken Timbs Ken Wayne Kendo Nagasaki Kerry Brown Kerry Von Erich Kevin Sullivan Kevin Von Erich Killer Brooks Killer Khan King Cobra King Kong Bundy King Tonga Koko Ware Lanny Poffo Larry Hamilton Larry Hennig Larry Zbyszko Leo Burke Leroy Brown Louis Laurence Luke Williams Mac Rivera Mad Dog Vachon Magnum TA Mando Guerrero Manny Fernandez Manny Soto Mark Batten Mark Fleming Mark Lewin Mark Romero Mark Youngblood Masa Fuchi Masked Superstar Matt Borne Michael Hayes Mike Boyette Mike Graham Mike Jackson Mike Reed Mike Rotundo Mike Shaw Mike Vachon Mil Mascaras Moondog King Moondog Rex Moondog Spot Moose Cholak Mr. Ebony Mr. Fuji Mr. Hito Mr. Saito Mr. Wrestling II Nick Bockwinkel Nikolai Volkoff Norman Frederick Charles III Norvell Austin One Man Gang Owen Hart Ox Baker Pancho Villa Pat Patterson Pat Rose Pat Tanaka Paul Christy Paul Diamond Paul Ellering Paul Jones Paul Orndorff Pedro Morales Pete Sanchez Pez Whatley Phil LaFon Pierre LeFebvre Randy Rose Randy Savage Randy Scott Raul Castro Ray Apollon Ray Candy Ray Stevens Raymond Rougeau Ric Flair Rick Martel Rick McCord Rick McGraw Rick Rude Rick Valentine Ricky Gibson Ricky Morton Ricky Santana Ricky Steamboat Rip Oliver Rip Rogers Robert Fuller Robert Gibson Roberto Soto Rock Hunter Rock Riddle Rocky Johnson Rocky King Rocky Jones Roddy Piper Ron Bass Ron Ritchie Ron Sexton Ron Starr Ronnie Garvin Rooster Griffin Roy Lee Welch Rufus R. JHawk Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I won't draft just because I'm not on the forums enough to pay attention, but I wanted to point out you have both The Grand Wizard and Abdullah Farouk listed as managers but they were both portrayed by Ernie Roth, so I'm not sure you meant for that

Thanks for the heads up. The draft is just a one time event so no need to keep up with the forum
LowBlowPodcast Posted Thursday at 03:44 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:44 PM Probably looking at 2-3 more people - if we can get 2 or 3 more people we could do this this weekend or next week.
LowBlowPodcast Posted Friday at 03:10 AM Author Posted Friday at 03:10 AM So i did a fantasy draft - ranked everyone and did it completely random - its January 1983 - which of these promotions would you want to run?
LowBlowPodcast Posted Friday at 01:54 PM Author Posted Friday at 01:54 PM I'd go with 4 - lots of potential there. Outside of Mil Mascaras who I loathe - I could find something for everyone. 7 is also sneaky. I can run some more simulations if anyone's interested with more promotions. Out to 10 would be interesting.

LowBlowPodcast Posted Friday at 08:03 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:03 PM Here's 10.... definitely more spread out. Still some fun groups here... especially if you open the trades up right away. Group 6 would be my preference with this one... although 8 also has some fun pieces.
Blehschmidt Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM I know I'm not particularly welcome in these parts, but since this is just a one off thing for fun, I'll chime in! Group 8 would be my choice. David Von Erich would 100% be your top babyface, but after that you'd need to do some trading cause you have pretty much no one else worth a damn on the babyface side. Potentially Don Kernodle and Jesse Barr, but there is a huge disparity in star power between David and those guys. Maybe Bret Hart gets an early push as a technical babyface, but it would be lower card at best. But oh man, David having a villains gallery consisting of Roddy Piper, a Heenan Family consisting of Patera, Saito, and maybe Rose & Somers put together a few years early. Not to mention a Russian team of Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff, Austin Idol and Killer Khan floating around, and maybe we lean into Scott Irwin's biker gimmick a little more and give him Ellering as a manger. As you mentioned @LowBlowPodcast, a lot of fun pieces in that group.

Blehschmidt Posted Sunday at 07:03 PM Posted Sunday at 07:03 PM Thanks! The time period in discussion here is definitely my wheel house. When DoW first started and we were working near this era, I had an absolute blast writing it. I often wish life hadn't gotten in the way and I could have continued the version of World Class that I was writing. Von Erichs, Bockwinkel, John Studd, Butch Reed. The roster I had was fantastic and I had some good stuff planned.

I had an idea of running g Georgia with the Von Erich’s and slowly turning them heel and making them preppy Texas studs to against Georgias own Tommy Rich and others
