Loss Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end Tuesday morning. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks.
Loss Posted May 4, 2005 Author Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yokozuna Show has finally developed into a very good big-man worker, and while he has underachieved, he has been great at helping carrying a major part of the load on Smackdown since 2002. But ... Yokozuna had a run as champ, and was a big star while he held the gold, and did big business with Undertaker. He also headlined WM in a singles match and had a good house show run with Bret Hart.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yokozuna Before he became excessively fat, Yokozuna could actually move around pretty well for a 450-500 pound sumo guy. The guy was an absolute monster who was basically the best port in the storm that was the WWF in '93 - if Bret Hart somehow wasn't proven before Wrestlemania X, he definitely was legitimized by the final title match with Yokozuna. He also was a decent contributor in the tag scene with Owen Hart after his long title reign was completed.
goodhelmet Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Big Show- Yokozuna probably had a better run and made more impact but was it a good impact? BIg Show has had much better matches and has lasted longer than Yokozuna.
Marty Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yokozuna Tough, tough pick, but Yokozuna's title reigns were more memorable than Show's. I wanted to vote Show just because I really like his work as of late, but Yokozuna had a more defining impact on the company than what Show has had, plus a more consistent character.
Guest KingPK Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yokozuna Show's had about 8 heel/face turns and 20 "comebacks" and only now is really getting over. Yoko's had a better, more consistant run.
Guest teke184 Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yokozuna. Yoko had a nine-month reign as champ and did fairly well despite his main competition being Luger. He also had a decent midcard run as a tag guy. Show is the better worker of the two but is incredibly inconsistent in his ability to get over ANYWHERE on the card. That may be bad booking more than anything else, but good work can usually overcome bad booking.
