Loss Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end Sunday morning. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks.
Guest Alfdogg Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Rick Martel Close call, but again, the Jake feud pushed it over the top for me.
Marty Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Rick Martel Has had one of the longest times in the Royal Rumble, has been on a couple very good tag teams (with Zenk and Santana), and had a good singles run inspite of being stuck with a cartoonish gimmick. Tajiri, like Martel, has been a midcarder as well, but Martel's achieved higher, and has had better matches overall.
Loss Posted May 7, 2005 Author Report Posted May 7, 2005 Rick Martel Both are cases where they've peaked outside the company, and both were about at the same place on the card, but Martel had the ability to do anything, singles/tags, face/heel, and he could have conceivably main evented *or* curtain jerked without seeming forced either way. Taijiri, talented as he is, works in a company that hinders his style and is very pigeonholed into a specific role.
Guest Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Rick Martel I hate to vote against Tajiri, but that's what bad booking does for a candidate who deserved to go further than he will.
Guest Bruiser Chong Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Martel. I honestly can't remember five specific WWF Tajiri matches. Martel on the other hand, BLINDED JAKE THE SNAKE!
