Loss Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end tomorrow morning at the latest. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks.
Loss Posted May 12, 2005 Author Report Posted May 12, 2005 Owen Hart Owen's 1994 run *blows away* Flair's 1992 run, and quite substantially at that. Compare any Bret/Owen match to any Flair match in 1992. Also factor in that Owen had the longer run, both as the Blue Blazer having good matches in 1989 and as a singles wrestler and tag wrestler, against teams like Furnas and Lafon, Michaels and Austin, and in singles against guys like Austin, Davey Boy and Michaels. Flair has the Savage match and the Rumble. Owen has far more.
Mad Dog Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Ric Flair Mostly because his career hasn't led to him dying horribly in an accident doing a stupid stunt for a stupid Blue Blazer gimmick.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Ric Flair Owen contributed all over the card, but Flair's '92 was phenomenal. Flair arguably carried the entire '92 Rumble, had a great feud with Savage, contributed to the Savage/Warrior feud in the summer, and ended off with a great feud with Perfect. His return to the WWF didn't do him any favors, but Owen's post-'94 stuff isn't that appealing either (NOD, Blue Blazer, for example).
goodhelmet Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Yeah, to compare Owen's WWF career to Flair's career is absurd. Flair was a disappointment as Fed champ. He had a great moment at Rumble 92 and a decent feud with Savage. Owen, on the other hand, had great matches with HBK, Bret, Davey, Vader, Furnas and Lafon, and so on and so forth. The BRet feud was better than any Flair feud in the Fed. In fact, since Flair has come back to WWe, he has done more harm than good. He has become HHH's lapdog and is def. an embarassment in the ring. I love listening to him on the mic then he has to ruin it by going out and kissing HHH's a$$ or having a horrible match. This is Owen's all the way. Owen Hart
Guest KingPK Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Owen Hart Hmm, tough one. But yeah, in the grand scheme of things, Flair only had about a year and a half run in the WWF though it was a great one. Owen has contributed a lot more to the fed for a longer period of time while Flair's character now is completely castrated by HHH (which I pray changes soon).
Guest Dazed Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Owen If we're only talking WWF, which we are.
Ray Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Owen Hart I don't know how anyone can vote Flair here. Owen's done much more with the company.
Guest teke184 Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Owen Hart Ric would beat Owen easily if this included his non-WWE work.
