Guest secondcoming Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Part of the reason Nigel got hurt so much was his body wasn't meant to handle the physical ROH style (then again, whose is?).Well, that and the steroids. I see both of them in TNA or back in ROH by early next year Quote

El-P Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Come on. There's that Wellness programm which keep workers clean up there. Ok, never mind. Nigel would have been a good fit as a regular in Japan, and it would have complimented his work much better. Watching Nigel work the dull WWE style is not exactly something I look forward too. But he's got the size and look to do good. Danielson, I really wonder what's this guy is going to amount in HHHLand. Quote

El-P Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 NAh. CM Punk already had a look to him that made him stand out. He's been successful more than anyone could have expected though. Quote
Ditch Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Nigel doesn't work in Japan. He's too small to be a headliner and isn't especially good in tags. Quote
El-P Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Not everybody can be a headliner. Being a Roh main eventer means shit anyway in the grand scheme of things. Oh, whatever... He'll probably get more roids in his body so he can look like a headliner now... Quote
smkelly Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Part of the reason Nigel got hurt so much was his body wasn't meant to handle the physical ROH style (then again, whose is?). Working the safer WWE style, and without the demands associated with ROH World title matches, he should remain healthier.Edge and Randy Orton say hello.Mr. Kennedy also says hello. As well as Batista, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, etc. Benoit got over in the WWF, he and Danielson are very similar. Sure, Danielson doesn't have the chiseled physique or tanned complexion, but he has the die hard fans and body of work coming in. If they give him a chance, he will succeed, ground breaking theory I know. Quote

Danielson is coming from ROH, an indy that's never drawn more than a little over 2000 fans and has TV on a network that nobody watches except for a small amount of hardcore MMA fans who also have to have the right cable/satellite provider and right kind of TV or cable box (as far as I know, if you don't have an HDTV, the only provider with boxes than can output HD channels to SDTVs is Verizon). Boondocks Kernoodle Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 From the new WON: McGuinness was signed by TNA after WWE decided against signing him after they gave him an extensive battery of tests and felt his body had too many injuries and decided against offering him a contract. Bryan Danielson has been offered a contract and is expected to debut imminently with WWE on television. A number of thoughts here: 1) Nigel, too broken down for the big leagues at 31. How very Dynamite Kid-esque of him. That's sad. 2) I'm surprised to see WWE make such considerations about talent and their injury history, but then again they probably don't really care about missing out on Nigel all that much, him being under the 6'2'', 240-pound mark. 3) Guess that hard-hitting ROH style was really worth it, huh? 4) Am I the only one who find it perversely funny that Nigel's first TNA feud is with Kurt Angle? Dylan Waco Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 I think it's probably a case of WWE having enough home grown freaks with muscle tears and concussion problems. The need to import another is minimal. Quote
kjh Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 I think Shane Douglas is a better comp than Dynamite. Quote
