  1. Stupid Vinnie Valentino. You come out with your own troupe of ladies and get distracted by Garvin's? Pretty wild ending to Humongous vs Iceman. Parsons & Samu should have been a little more grateful for the assistance. I like the idea of those 2 as a tag team if you go that route. Looking forward to the big 8 man tag. I loved seeing Hogan in tag/multi man tag situations in AWA.
  2. Whatever. If you're on the goc hate wagon go ahead and ride it. That wasn't a "threat to quit" it was a notification that I might not be posting shows for a bit and I would let people know if I was going to drop out instead of just disappearing. If really think I'm likely to quit then you should still be in favor of the current takeover strategy considering you're in line to take Southwest.
  3. Saying you're burnt out and might be taking a break isn't the same as "threatening to quit"
  4. I'm kind of tired of the argument over the way rosters get taken over, but I don't really care anymore either. If the majority opinion has switched to say that everyone should go into a draft instead of the takeover thing then we should just switch to that. I'm in line to take over World Class and I wouldn't take but 3-4 of those guys because the biggest & best names on that roster just don't really fit what I have planned for Southwest so I have no real stake in keeping things the way they are. For the way I look to book I think that having too many stars on my roster is much harder to deal with than not enough. Everyone going into a draft still doesn't really increase your odds of new talent that much though because you'd still only get a maximum of 2 guys.
  5. You can always do some kind of quick results type thing to get caught up. You're not out of the game if you want to continue and I'll help you get caught up in any way that I can. As far as it not being "fair" you're not the only one who is behind and not the furthest behind either.
  6. WWE has a multi-year contract with NBC Universal for Smackdown. Even if WWE wanted to drop Smackdown and replace it with NXT, it's not their call. I don't think the TV people are going to just decide to drop it and replace it with NXT. I don't even think it's all that smart of an idea for WWE considering NXT is getting them Network subscriptions from people who hate the WWE product. They've already made their money on the SD TV deal. They need to keep the fluctuating monthly Network subscriptions as high as they can.
  7. I don't think I ever watched Smackdown as it was airing. The DVR is made for wrestling especially WWE and it's endless recaps.

    The Shield

I think these guys could probably make my list as a trio. If I'm going to consider Los Brazos as a trio I don't see why I shouldn't consider these guys. They had some really awesome matches and honestly a year and a half run isn't that bad on the longevity side especially when you consider how many matches they had.
  9. Eventually you guys need to head to Alabama and Continental. Lots of good tag team stuff there with Fuller & Golden vs. The New Guinea Headhunters, Nightmares vs. Johnny & Tommy Rich, Nightmares vs. Dirty White Boy & Jerry Stubbs plus the hidden gem of Fuller & Golden vs. Adrian Street & The Bullet
  10. Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden Nominating them even if I'm the only one who will vote for them. These are definitely not their best matches but the 3 reviews rule must be met I guess: http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/13832-rock-roll-express-vs-stud-stable-smw-tv-082992/ http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/13793-heavenly-bodies-vs-fantastics-vs-stud-stable-vs-dixie-dynamite-danny-davis-smw-tv-080892/ http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/13794-rock-roll-express-vs-stud-stable-smw-fire-on-the-mountain-080892/

    NXT TakeOver Brooklyn

Doesn't matter, I'm arguing this precisely because I've argued with people on this very board who don't accept Flair vs. Savage or Megamaniacs vs Money Inc, or many other matches that there billed as co-main events but happened to go on first. On this very board. What was the main event of Summerslam 92? So it's only a real main event when it's convenient for your argument? I mean all those matches were clearly billed as co-main events in build, on the front of video tapes, on posters, etc. Will, as an example, tends to use the last match as the main event when he's doing his Summerslam retrospectives. Fans have a habit of only seeing the last match as the true main event. Come on now. They should have put the women on last if they had complete faith in it. So you're being inconsistent on your very own argument that shows can have multiple main events just to be a troll? Got it.

Aren't you the same guy who said a show can have multiple main events or am I confusing you with someone else? Could have swore that was you though.

    Doom

These guys will make my list even if it's at #25. Just such an awesome powerhouse team. Hadn't ever seen anything from them until I watched a certain 6 disc Butch Reed comp and then I had to track down a whole lot more.
  14. Been watching quite a bit of them today and man they are good. Masters of switching without a tag. Great at bumping, cheating and selling their desperation. As an aside, do Luger & Windham together have enough matches to warrant a nomination? They've looked great in the stuff I watched with them against Tully & Arn.
  15. If I was doing a list I'd absolutely have Sydal on it. And Matt Hardy. I wish Sydal had a better partner than Kofi and a longer tag run so I could squeeze him into my tag team list.
  16. I have debated creating a "Stupid wrestling opinions you've read other places" type thread but I have not done so for a few reasons. 1. It's not very PWO-like. 2. I would probably be the only one contributing to it and 3. It would most likely make people think I'm more of an asshole than they probably already do. There's plenty of places for material though with WF, TNAMecca, 411mania comments, Wreddit and various others. Just the other day I read someone over on SomethingAwful.com's wrestling forum talking about how they don't ever want to see Goldust again because of him "wrestling his boring 80s-territorial style" and a few days before that someone was saying the vast majority of singles matches would be better if they were triple threats.
  17. I've seen it in multiple places. Whether it's outright saying that's what is happening, hinting around it or stuff like "well why don't they just clear Bryan so he can take ___'s spot in this match". Especially when there was talk about Cena possibly missing SummerSlam, the "well just clear Daniel Bryan because he is the only one who can save the show!" stuff popped up on the 411mania comments section, a few tweets I saw and obviously WF. Bryan has been pretty vocal about his doctor clearing him so for the "FUCK VINCE MCMAHON~!" types it's not hard to make the leap to "Well the only reason they won't let him wrestle is because they don't like how over he is"
  18. I think Santino had neck issues and not concussion problems? He also has his own wrestling/MMA training school and seems to have retired on his own not "forced out" like Bryan or Christian.
  19. I'm sure there is SOME kind of smoke to the fire of "something really fucked up happened at the Performance Center with Corey Graves" but it's just odd to me the double standard some fans seem to have about concussions. No one seems to question the fact that Corey Graves had to retire at 30 but with Daniel Bryan we get some goofy conspiracy theories about them keeping him out because they don't want him "overshadowing" the rest of the roster. I mean by Daniel Bryan's own admittance he had so many concussions before he went to WWE that he lost count.
  20. What feels odd to me about people questioning WWE's reasoning and motives for keeping Daniel Bryan or Christian out of the ring for concussion issues is no one seems to say the same thing about Corey Graves. I mean I would imagine Graves had far less over the length of his career than either of those guys but then I don't really know what happened to give Graves his last concussion since they've tried so hard to sweep that under the rug.

    Los Brazos

I need to watch more because this is the trio most likely to make my list. I mean I love Los Infernales but there were just so many different versions. I've enjoyed pretty much every Brazos match I've ever seen and Porky was amazing before he got really broken down.
  22. goc

    Los Infernaros

Maybe. I have a problem with Los Infernales because there were just so many different members and it didn't seem like there was a lot of longevity between any set pairing. I do love the Satanico/MS-1/Pirata Morgan team though so they MIGHT make it in.
  23. Honestly, I felt like a lot of the complaints about the brand split were because people were mad that Raw stunk most of the time but were too busy complaining about "SD is taped, it doesn't matter" to watch the other show. As if not clicking on spoilers is the most difficult thing in the world. Like I couldn't imagine only watching Raw and not SD during the vast majority of the brand split era but there were plenty of people who were watching only Raw because "but it's the A show!"
  24. The brand split started to die once they started running joint PPVs. I don't blame WWE for trying to boost their PPV numbers by doing that but it did take a lot of steam out of the brand split itself. It was officially dead the moment they started advertising Raw as a "Super show" with talent from Smackdown on it as well. Before that it was pretty awesome. Raw & Smackdown were different products with different emphasis and it was good.
  25. Probably not, to be honest. I used to feel guilty about it not wanting to watch Japanese footage for this project but people probably aren't gonna dive outside of their ares of interest to check out The Nightmares or Fuller & Golden in Continental and a ton of lucha guys are gonna get overlooked over on the singles side so I feel less bad about it now. Everybody has things they like and dislike and I'm just not a big fan of Japanese wrestling. And before anyone tries to sell it to me, I've seen plenty. Quite a bit of 80s New Japan & All Japan. A little bit of current New Japan. I've seen matches I like but it's not something I ever go "that was awesome, I need to watch more!"
