  1. The entire undercard of Ring of Honor, Sorry I just can't get into guys that weigh 100 lbs. and who I could probably take in a fight.
  2. I'm not big on Steve Corino either. I still think his King of Old School gimmick was made because he sucks in the ring. I've never bought Justin Credible either. He looks like he should be washing dishes at Waffle House not winning the ECW Title.
  3. My biggest problem with Angle is he steals the signature spots of other workers. That always seemed extremely unprofessional to me especially when he was doing it with guys in the same company. I also got sick of him when he was letting his wife run her mouth about RVD in public.
  4. Ah, very good. Excellent reasoning and you covered most of my gripes about Michaels as well.
  5. I've seen a couple of good Roberts matches but those were at the hands of Ted Dibiase and other superior workers. I kind of agree with you that the guy was almost entirely all gimmick. The AWA was kind of depressing in the late 70s/early 80s. You just had so many guys who's time had passed in the early 70s and a ton of young talent that Vern just wouldn't use. It reminds me a lot of the current WWF except there's no way to grab away the Hulk Hogans or Curt Hennigs of the federation.
  6. Can I get reasoning on the HBK one? I'm curious as to why you think that.
  7. Ok, not to start an argument but are you going to really take anything seriously that comes out of Zenk's mouth? I like Bam Bam quite a bit but I think my vision of him is biased after the way he saved those kids from a fire while getting seriously injured himself.
  8. I'm essentially starting this thread over one guy but I thought it could generate some decent discussion. So I've seen thanks to some WWF DVDs and some tapes a good little bit of the AWA during the last week or two. It's beyond me how anyone ever took Baron Von Raschke seriously as a wrestler. The guy looks more like a cancer patient than he does a wrestler. I though he looked especially bad in there against tag teams like the Road Warriors. Just my 2 cents anyways.
  9. Steamboat described it like a switch going off when Vader climbed in the ring.
  10. Jarrett's a capable enough worker. Whoever subs in will probably have a better chance of putting on a solid main event than Nash would've.
  11. I've honestly seen few people really complain about. It's not like Vader was intentionally trying to hurt people. He took it really hard when he crippled that jobber. But some guys are just stiff and that's the way it goes. There are workers that are nowhere near as stiff that have compiled a larger bodycount.
  12. I've learned that as far as internet wrestling boards go you're asking for trouble expecting people to know anything before about 1995. Hell, most of the TSM wrestling posters don't even know who Wendi Richter is.
  13. I think Baba gets overlooked because most people have only seen his work in the 90s when he was at least a decade past his prime and just a mid-carder.
  14. I wasn't sure if Baba would be considered a big man or not.
  15. I would imagine it is. He started in 1949 so I imagine he was at least 45 for that match.
  16. Even during his Bossman days he was a quality worker. The Twin Towers team was better than they had any right to be and I think that's because of him. His brawls with Hogan were pretty good as well.
  17. Not to be a ghoul but it'd be really fucked up if Scott Hall outlived Nash.
  18. I think for me it comes between Vader and Don Leo Jonathan. Vader was great at just mauling people in the ring and proved constantly that no one could do the David/Goliath matches better. His series with Sting was a high point in his career. I also enjoyed his Dome Show match against Inoki in 97 I think. Don Leo Jonathan just for his agility. The kip ups, rolling splashes and to be honest I've only seen him in the twilight of his career. I'd love to see him in his prime. Underrated: Ray Traylor I think is a pretty underrated guy. He takes a lot of unfair shit for his run in 99 and 00. His matches with Vader in WCW were pretty good and he even drug a good match out of the Barbarian at the Rumble. So who are some of your favorites?

  23. Beautiful. I guess the new WWE line is if the internet doesn't like the Coach, its because they're racist. I find that amusing. Out of the 5 million reasons I've read about why he sucks and no one has ever mentioned his race. But like I always say. When none of the facts back your argument up just play the race card.
