  1. I usually turn it around by saying that I care enough about the product to complain. Then I bring up ECW and how they might've not been utter shit the last 4 years if the fans had actually complained instead of just accepting anything. Otherwise just ignore them. That's a knee jerk response to try and stifle debate. Also ask them why they're on the internet to begin with. If they can't stand to debate the merits of the WWF then they have no business on a message board where that's the purpose. I ran into this heavily in 2001 when things started to go south around November. It eventually died down as I was proven right over and over and the defenders got more negative about the product. Though people defending the product at this point have tasted the kool-aid.
  2. And there's WAAAAY too much Shawn Michaels. How he gets the majority of the matches in the I.C. and WWF Title sections astounds me.
  3. I'm slightly disappointed in the selection of WCW matches.
  4. Yeah, Flair will probably job the I.C. Title and then HHH will pin him clean. Though I hope this feud doesn't go on too long because it's been terribly uninteresting.
  5. I take it from the lack of an Observer update that HHH/Flair is heading towards the 20 minute mark?
  6. True, but then Vince would have to stop hiring strippers for that to happen.
  7. I would think. Going over the rope is a long way for some of their diva's to fall. And with all those implants in the ring you don't want a tit exploding from a bad fall.
  8. I voted for everything that would make this PPV as awful as possible.
  9. http://www.thecubsfan.com/cmll/ Excellent site for kind of getting a heads up on shows. CMLL actually has about everyone worth a damn in lucha so your chances of seeing guys you know is pretty good. Plus they show everyone with name on screen before matches. The main thing going on right now is Perro Aguayo Jr. has a heel stable going with Hector Garza, Damian 666, Halloween and a couple of other guys. Negro Casas and Mistico have been trying to get Aguayo into a hair match. The matches have been excellent and guys like Ultimo Dragon have been around and Nakamura and Tanahashi should be coming to town in the next few months with the IWGP Tag Titles. Avoid AAA like the plague though. The shows are awful unless some NOAH talent is passing through. It's sports entertainment gone bad and CMLL stole all of their decent to good workers. I know how you feel though. I started watching in 98 and it took me a long time to understand the internal logic to matches and such.
  10. The WWF really just needs to kill tag team wrestling or have it as a Smackdown only deal. The titles have been defended maybe twice on Raw this year.
  11. They also put Michaels over everyone involved in the main event for this match. Including Angle if you go back to the Homecoming show. He's also been trying to upstage Cena at every turn since Summerslam.
  12. I don't know. Diaz has come into several fights (the Lawler one especially) as a huge underdog and proved a lot of people wrong. I could see him knocking out Diego. I'm really looking forward to that fight.
  13. It's sad that as painfully average as TUF has been that I'm more curious about Jason Von Flue's cut and if he'll fight. I miss the days when I would count the days to the next PPV.
  14. Do you get Galavision Loss?
  15. I've never found HHH's knee based offense to be overly impressive. Over the last couple of years it's looked to me that he almost looks lost when doing his control segments in a few matches (the Raw match with Tajiri).
  16. Why would McMahon care who won the inter-promotion match?
  17. It would be a good move if they pushed him to the I.C. Championship and actually gave the guy consistent screen time. Something about the Goldust gimmick seems to make him a better worker. They could easily get a lot of mileage out of him if he stays out of trouble. I expect him to make a token Rumble appearance after disappearing from tv then get released around Mania.
  18. There's always the chance that the WWF gimmicks the vote.
  19. So how long until Shelton gets fired? I hope soon because he's going to be a huge commodity once he's a free agent.
  20. We might get finger poke number 3 in the span of a month if Coach pins Batista tonight. Also I don't think it's ever been this bad. I'm also tempted to say that even at WCW's worst Feb/March of 2000 wasn't this bad.
  21. All time low I'd say. As bad as 95 was it wasn't anywhere near this bad. I think the last month of Raw might take the cake for worst month of wrestling tv ever.
  22. The current Triple H is clueless in a lot of ways. Just look at his annual attempt to recreate his match with Taka. He fails over and over because he doesn't understand what made that match work (selling). His selfish nature has completely clouded his judgement. He's also had to constantly stick his foot in his mouth over saying certain guys can't work. And just in general with wrestling. He instantly buries anyone just coming into the fed if 90% of their offense isn't punch/kick based. As I said earlier his taste in who he considers quality workers is highly questionable.
  23. I'd call this article dreck pure and simple. I'm no Randy Orton fan but Kennedy hasn't even been around for 6 months. Yeah his gimmick is decent now but how's this shtick going to hold up say a year from now or even by Wrestlemania. We haven't even seen more than brief glimpses of him in the ring. Being a student of the game means nothing. Triple H is supposedly a student of the game and he has no clue. He just chalks up fan complaints as nothing because he supposedly knows more. And being admired by Vince, Batista and HHH isn't glowing praise because they have extremely questionable tastes in wrestlers. I'm no fan of Orton and it seems they've unsuccessfully thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the fans to get the guy over. Just look at how lame the new nWo ripoff shirts are for their latestest attempt. But Orton has shown he can be carried in a match, he has a more marketable name (Orton) and he's a more seasoned worker at this point. I'd take Orton over Kennedy at this point for a lot of reasons: 1. Orton in the WWF would be fine if they just accepted that he's a midcarder for life. With that said he's a capable midcarder for anyone. 2. He's proven. Orton has been around for 3 years now. Kennedy has been on tv for 2 months. Orton's character is also more well developed and can be tweaked where Kennedy will have to be completely repackaged. 3. Orton is capable of being carried to a good match by workers like Chris Benoit. We don't know about such things from Kennedy. 4. Again, the name Orton means something in wrestling. Ken Kennedy means nothing.
  24. I imagine everyone on the writing staff would stare at you with a blank look on their face if you mentioned them. If Katie Vick didn't teach them a lesson nothing will.
