He hasn't done anything that great. I've seen him on Velocity a few times and he's still nothing special from what I've seen.

1. The look of the shows. They should look at some of the things TNA did with Impact for some ideas. I think one of the few things TNA did well was having a very fresh and different look to their shows. I think the WWF could get some very good mileage out of having a sports ticker with some house show results and having another bar with the names of the performers and a timer for the match. 2. Squash matches. It's been said before so I won't go into it. 3. No more WWF style. This is one of the biggest problems with the WWF right now. The inring is extremely bland because everyone has the same moveset and every match is essentially the same at the end of the day. Even the cruiserweight matches are exactly like heavyweight matches just with smaller guys. Part of the reason WCW was so great in 97 and 98 was because there was such a huge variety in styles. 4. Stop pushing old guys. Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker and HHH have no business beating the guys that still have a decade left to give to the WWF. If you're going to bring Hogan in for a few months have him feud with Edge or Kane not Angle and Michaels. Edge, Kane, Batista, Guerrero, Mysterio and JBL should have their spots. 5. HHH, he needs to go away and not be heard of for at least a year. He's easily the single biggest turnoff to fans right now. No matter what happens even the biggest mark knows that the big reset is coming within six months and you're back with HHH as champ or that he'll be the only challenger and keep getting match after match until he finally gets the belt back. Why would someone invest their time into that? Why do they want to watch the bad guy always win? 6. No more GMs. This angle has been murdered since the Attitude era. If you really want an authority figure it should be in the Tuney form where he's completely impartial and only appears for important things. 7. Shorter interviews. There's no reason for a wrestler to need more than 5 minutes to say something and even then you're pushing it. I would recommend the puro style where the only time you hear from the guys are post match interviews. 8. Go back to treating it like a real sport. Have cameramen at ringside. Have post match press conferences. Have rankings that determine title shots. Even keep win-loss records if it achieves a more sports atmosphere. This would also require consistent rules during the matches. People are ultimately watching for wrestling not diva searches or 30 minute speeches from HHH. 9. Bring in foreign stars from time to time. This is a minor thing but it helps to put the WWF over. Hey here's Masahiro Chono from Japan and he came over for a few weeks to test his skills against the best in the world. 10. Don't actively insult the fans. This has become an odd thing over the last few years. The WWF has gotten far too into the idea of telling the fans to fuck off. The Matt Hardy thing was the latest instance of this and it serves no purpose other than chasing people away.

Skipping Class to Wrestle Teacher Lands in Trouble
Mad Dog replied to a topic in NMB Wrestling Archive
Probably so they didn't have a teacher skipping work to fuck students or murder other people. -

So I just got back from Origins. Duggan was a super nice guy though I ended up losing to him in Legends of Wrestling. I got DQed for pushing the ref trying to go for a top rope move. Only charged $5 for the autographed picture which is unheard of for convention autographs (they usually run $15). He was also letting anyone take pictures with him for free so I got a couple of pictures taken with him. I even got to talk with him for about 5-10 minutes during a slow point. He was asking me if I got NWA:Ohio on tv and then we talked about TNA which ended with us making fun of Jeff Jarrett's title runs. He also came across Buff Bagwell's card and started making fun of him. He was also doing random "HOOO"s through the games.

WWF lost money in 2002 during his big face run and his early vanity plate run. Money has also gone down consistently every year he's on top. Go read the investors thread where they stated that they'll be doing less shows in the United States due to no one coming. They've also stayed profitable by chopping whole limbs off business wise. Ratings, money, etc. also show no sign of decline when he's not around. That's not being a draw. There hasn't been a WWF draw since 2001. You can interchange anyone right now and make the same amount of money. But HHH has been a proven negative PPV draw as he's headlined some of the worst buyrates in WWF history. Sting on the otherhand drew fistfulls of money just by walking around the rafters and pointing a baseball bat at people for over a year. He also headlined the biggest drawing WCW event ever with Starcade 97.

Is the other 10% Stephanie McMahon?

They'll lose a good part of their roster during the next few years. They'll be demanding a harder schedule with so many foreign dates and paying less. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of guys just walk away. They really got screwed on that deal though. Basically USA has more control over product placement on Raw than Vince does from the way it sounds. How long until we have the WCW-like ads on the turnbuckles or a giant battery attacking a wrestler backstage?
-
I really miss that guy that used to throughly research the product and then get hung up on the minute he started asking tough questions. It sounds like they're in for some really really lean years. That tv deal sounds horrible and almost TNAesque.
-
Sting also outdrew HHH in that one year since HHH has never drawn aside from 2000 and even then it was all about the Rock. HHH has been on top while the WWF has continued to fall money, ratings and buyrate wise.
-
I ceased to care about the WON HOF after Kurt Angle got in. Meltzer has way too much sway over the voters and who they vote for. The fact that Triple H probably gets in this year is an even bigger joke. He has no business anywhere near a HOF.

Ricky Steamboat said in his shoot interview that he was a really nice guy outside of the ring but it was just like a switch going on when he climbed in the ring.
-
I would doubt he has anything to do with it. It doesn't fit the way other people have described him. Foley said he cried after he accidentally crippled a jobber in WCW.

It's a three letter answer. Starts with an H and ends with an H.

I made a post about it about a week ago but here's the link to their site. http://www.filsingergames.com/legendsofwrestling.htm

The guys that do the Legends of Wrestling card game usually bring a wrestler with them to Origins. He'll be playing against people so that should be interesting.

I would've had JBL go around saying that he was now the WWF Champion since Cena left. He was carrying around the old belt during their feud so it would've made sense for him to claim it was now the default title. Then when Batista was drafted with the Raw Title you could go from there with them.
-
Yeah, but this is the kind of half thought out bullshit they've become known for since the Invasion started. It just seems silly that Smackdown has been operating without a title for almost a month now.
-
I'm hoping Duggan brings the WCW Television Title with him but I doubt he will.
-
I don't have much a list as I've only run into a couple at conventions. I don't really hang around at live shows trying to meet guys. New Jack: He was wandering the crowd at an ECW house show in 2000. Was signing autographs for a few people. Virgil: He was at Mid-Ohio Con about 4 years ago. Pretty funny guy. Though I wasn't in one of my more social moods so it turned into him asking me about wrestlers I liked and so forth. Going to meet Hacksaw Jim Duggan next weekend at Origins. I'm pretty excited about it since he's been a favorite of mine for a long time.
-
They'll either draft Batista or the winner of the WWF Title match. If they don't do that this will be the new Smackdown title while Triple H unifies the WWF and Raw belts at Summerslam so he can be sure to have the most important belt in the company.

The Sheik died a few years ago. The Iron Sheik is still alive and well.
-
It can only be a one floor house if you're going to have Snuka and women in there.
-
I hate indy shows more to be honest. I'm sick of people bitching at me just because I sit there quietly during the show. Signs just aren't needed at shows. It's even worse when they bring them to house shows.
-
I agree with the whole banning signs thing. I've had floor seats a couple of times and there's nothing worse than not being able to see anything because the person in front of you has a sign.
