Let's be fair to him there. Dixie has out carnied some of the biggest carnies in the business.

It's weird. Corgan is a creative visionary and he's generally had good business sense but seems to lack imagination and honestly seems a little out of touch when it comes to getting this off the ground.

Got my big shows to do this week. I will probably have those up tomorrow and an episode of TV. My goal right now is to get caught up and then find a happy medium with longer form shows but maybe not as long as I was doing.

Yeah, I give it maybe 6 months. If they do get a TV deal, I think it's going to be something like MeTV in the U.S. Honestly, they probably need to try and get a streaming service and maybe see if they can do the OVW thing and get advertisers for the ringside area to try and make some money.

It just feels like the WWE has damaged the audience too much. I'm not sure there are even 5 million people left willing to support wrestling on TV anymore. I love AEW and I would love to see this NWA show last but I just worry there just aren't enough people left to support them.

I will watch it weekly as long as it lasts. I do question how viable it is long term though. But I am questioning how viable wrestling as a TV product is starting to become after watching the last 2 weeks of ratings.

I enjoyed the show a lot but I do agree with the cosplay argument a lot. I really don't know where they plan to go with this show. I can't imagine them getting picked up by a channel or being able to use this to draw big enough crowds to sustain them.

Bonus episode this week. We discuss the many mistakes WWE has been making recently. We talk about Kofi losing the title a bit, Cain's debut and we spend a lot of the show talking about the ending to Rollins vs. The Fiend.

WWE reminds me a lot of the current day comic book market. They think they are marketing themselves to a younger market but the only people that actually watch/buy their products are the old people that grew up on it. Both have a high barrier to entry with time for WWE and money for comics. And both have certain problems with how they execute storylines that unless they got you hooked young, you aren't going to stick with it.

I would rather her trans status never enter the onscreen product.

I thought this was absolutely terrible and the lowlight of the show. It didn't ruin the show for me but I hope they never do shit like this again.

It was. It was clear week 1 that WWE didn't understand what AEW was going for or who they were appealing to. They have been very in their own bubble when it comes to this. Even HHH has looked kind of stupid with how he has booked NXT the first month on TV. I don't think they understand how to get new fans anymore.

I will give Baker some credit. She isn't as bad in the ring as Leva Bates is.
-
It's tough for me. It's really easy to pick apart Nyla Rose and see what she needs to work on. I have a harder time putting my finger on what Baker needs to work on.

My theory is that NXT was never expected to win or even do that well in the ratings. It was meant to make sure that AEW wasn't viable ratings wise.

Britt is this weird combination where she looks the part of what you want in a wrestler. She's good looking, has the body you want in a wrestler and is athletic enough to make you think she should be good. She even kind of looks like she should have some sort of charisma to her as well. But then you get her in there and she can't talk, if she has charisma she can't project it and her execution of moves is terrible despite having what appears to be athletic ability. She's like Seth Rollins if his inring execution of moves sucked.

I was looking at the AEW numbers and they hit that 18-49 male demo hard. They might actually see some decent gains if they run unopposed against baseball. I think if they have some ratings struggle but can keep that strong pull with the 18-49 males they will be okay.

Game 5 of Dodgers/Nats so it was a big deal.
