  1. Yeah, it's the same guy who lost his shit over The Rock beating CM Punk. Probably a parody of the first one, given it is a year on exactly. Or they could both have been worked. Well acted if so. Nobody is arguing that he is being buried. Just that he is ridiculously hot right now and the WWE are idiots for not capitalizing on it, and in fact seem to be willfully refusing to give their audience what it wants. And it is worth noting that although he is heavily featured on television, he is usually being mocked or humiliated or getting beat down.
  2. Ah, makes more sense. They are a few years too late on KENTA for me, should have got him in 2005-2009 when he was at his peak. Half the appeal was that he was this cool, young, good looking guy who could also go hard in the ring. Not sure how they would use him now, he'd probably end up in some lame tag team wrestling the Real Americans on Main Event every other week. Can't see why they would want Sting after all this time. Him against Undertaker could only be a letdown at this stage, especially since they are both increasingly immobile. They could maybe get a year of 'Dream Matches' out of him. I doubt he would have any effect on the ratings.
  3. An easy solution would be to have Batista vs Orton vs Bryan at WM; have Lesnar come in and take Batista out, and that sets up a mega feud through to the summer if Brock is staying around. Daniel Bryan gets the huge win, the crowd goes home happy. Having said that, they might be planning to run Brock vs Batista at Mania anyway with Brock beating Orton at Elimination Chamber. Not sure where that would leave Orton for the big event, maybe opening with Sheamus or Ziggler. And not sure how Jamie Noble is to blame for anything. The match was put together just fine, other than the absurd, deflating CM Punk elimination. The crowd shit on it because of the booking, and because the most exciting, over guy in the company was left out. Last night was almost a confirmation that all the Daniel Bryan stuff is going nowhere; people still held out the hope that it was all leading to the huge WM XXX payoff, and when it became clear that wasn't happening the crowd turned.
  4. Well that was so deflating all round. Can't believe how stupid they are. And that isn't just unrealistic smark partiality, Daniel Bryan is arguably the con most consistently over guy they have had since Steve Austin and The Rock. Just about every fan wants to see him get his big moment. Who gives a shit about Orton/Batista in 2014?
  5. I shouldn't be pissed off, fuck knows why I am. They always fuck it up. But seriously astounding after the end to that cage match that they followed it with this. Batista wins to the surprise of nobody, crowd booing the building down.
  6. Not quite how the WWE imagined the showdown of the behemoths. Crowd don't give a shit, and they are hating on Batista big time. Reigns has finally woken them up to the in ring action.
  7. At least it is heartening to see the crowd going to bat for Bryan, voting with their mouths and chants. Loud 'no' chant now. Commentators don't know what to do, even the wrestlers seem put out. Surely even if they were desperate to do Batista/Orton at Wrestlemania they could have changed it after the events and crowds of the last two weeks? So inflexible as the point was made earlier. Disgraceful.
  8. Well that Punk elimination won't help matters, fifty minutes and that's what they came up with as his elimination. Fuck this shit. Batista is going to win, everyone in the arena knows.
  9. 619 to a torrent of boos. This is ugly.
  10. Crowd was expecting Bryan as well, this won't be pretty. Boos all over the place. Fuck this company - surely they knew what they had with the end of Raw in that cage match a couple of weeks back? It was huge, and they've blown it yet again, as they have done for the last ten years whenever anything has got hot. Crowd shitting on this and deservedly so.
  11. Some noticeable boos for Batista. Rey and Langston to come by my reckoning.
  12. No Bryan. Wish I'd got an early night.
  13. The 'you still got it' chants to JBL were hilarious. Cool crowd.
  14. The NAO are really over as well, they aren't just on the show because they are Hunter's buddies. Still in good shape, always get a reaction, why not have them as transitional champions? The only other viable option would have been The Real Americans who they have jobbed out for three months. Daniel Bryan chants starting, this crowd won't react well if Batista just wins without any surprises or turns.
  15. Well that was a waste of Big Sexy. Why bother even bringing him back? Not as if he's been gone long enough for a nostalgia boost.
  16. Nash, fuck yes! Massive clique reunion tonight by the looks of it.
  17. Ziggler got a fantastic pop. He can definitely be rebuilt.
  18. They can't seriously be running Wyatt vs Cena at Wrestlemania 30 can they? What a waste of your biggest guy on the anniversary edition of your biggest show. Bray Wyatt is really awkward and forced to me, no way should he be at the top of the card yet. He should be opening in a six man against Evan Bourne and The Rhodes Brothers or something. The crowd may well shit all over it too, unless Hogan ends up being involved. Terrible match, the finisher stealing was horrible, brought back memories of when they used to do it in every main event. I seem to have missed the best matches.

Ziggler was beating John Cena clean a year ago. Big Show is proof that you can rehabilitate anyone from anything. Point is, Show/Lesnar is a match that has been done multiple times before, and seems a waste of a Brock appearance. In terms of cool visuals nothing much would beat Ziggler's insane bumping for him.
  20. Unbelievable scenes. As I said in the other thread, he is getting reactions comparable to Austin and Rock at their peak. They have to capitalize on this. Which viewer of ROH in 2003 could have predicted this?

That was Steve Austin/The Rock level pop at the height of their popularity. Daniel Bryan is the most over guy they have had in over a decade, they would be unbelievably stupid not to have him win the belt at Wrestlemania and continue the Bret Hart/Chris Benoit 'Multiple of Ten' tradition where a hardworking wrestler respected by their peers finally gets his just rewards at the big show. The Rumble is very intriguing actually, Roman Reigns got a huge pop tonight as well if they want to go in that direction, Batista is obviously back as well. Fantastic show tonight; so much more enjoyable if you record it and can spin on all the rubbish, usually takes me about 45-60 minutes to get through and I avoid Del Rio, Sandow, The Divas etc. The only thing I will question is their booking decisions. Kofi Kingston shouldn't be going over the top guy in the company, whether there is a storyline reason or not. This isn't Shelton Benjamin beating HHH in 2005 either, as it will go nowhere and Kingston will be jobbing on Superstars again next week. It was also questionable to have Big Show destroy the Real Americans. They are a very solid, fairly over team and shouldn't be slaughtered just to build Big Show up for a pointless match with Lesnar where he is getting beaten. They should have put Lesnar in with someone like Ziggler. It's a fresh match, and they could work a competitive squash with him bumping all over the place. Absolutely no reason at all for Brock/Show unless Brock himself has requested it for whatever reason. Looks like they are working towards HHH/Punk at Wrestlemania, then. Roman Reigns vs Undertaker, Brock Lesnar vs Batista, Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton and John Cena/Hulk Hogan vs Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins would round out the card, although they probably won't want to waste Cena in a tag. Maybe Daniel Bryan faces HBK, Batista faces Orton, Lesnar faces Undertaker and Cena faces Reigns? Some permutation of those matches will happen.
  22. TNA actually beats out WWE in the ratings in the UK, which suggests supports evidence that a lot of people pirate Raw & Smackdown over here. TNA is on free TV and on at primetime rather than the early hours of the morning. Plus there is extremely high speed internet everywhere which probably helps make the decision to watch online; is that the case in the USA as well? If not, could explain the geographical inequality of the streams.
  23. That was his whole whole gimmick, as bizarre as it sounds on paper. He was meant to work matches like a generic boring WWE heel of the period, with the requisite rest holds and mannerisms and dull offence. His finish was even the Pedigree to get even more heat. Rave was one of the most entertaining wrestlers in that period, precisely because he was such an antidote to the go-go-go style everyone else was working. His stable was fantastic, his character was fun as hell, he could work the mic decent enough, and his matches were usually at least average and at the very least a little different to everything else on thew show. He garnered a lot of praise at the time for someone who actually had pacing and restraint. He had his fair share of decent matches as well. The feud with CM Punk was enjoyable enough, especially the cage match. He also had an absolutely brilliant match with Matt Sydal on one show, just a perfect ten minute sprint, Angle/Mysterio from Summerslam would be the aptest comparison. Not seen him in years so maybe he has declined. He is way, way better than someone like BJ Whitmer, who actually was trying hard and going for broke with every match working this paradoxically tedious high impact style without any character or charisma. He has to be a candidate for most boring.
  24. Probably too much work for them to consider it, but couldn't they have the unedited versions of shows for those who can prove they are of age, along with censored PG copies for the kids with the bad language/nudity/sexual storylines edited out? A lot of their hardcore fanbase idealizes the Attitude Era product as the peak of wrestling, and will want to see those shows in full without the blood, scantily clad females and edgy content missing. I originally thought this might be the death knell of the DVDs, but programs like Breaking Bad still shift a ton of discs even though they are easy to stream both legally and illegally. Some people still like a physical product, and would rather watch it on their television, especially older fans who might not have the knowledge or inclination to watch it via a smart TV or a PS3/Xbox.
  25. On Sky Go streaming service you can register to two devices, so it may be something similar. Could somebody from the UK conceivably subscribe to the network and then view through a US proxy?
