  1. Gotcha. I was thinking it had been covered somewhere that he physically abused her, which I didn't remember ever hearing.
  2. It's obviously not a tough conclusion to draw, but where has this been confirmed?
  3. People in general seem to ignore WCW's existence after 1989 and before 1994.
  4. I would like to see something that focuses more on early 90s WCW. And please, no Flair-Steamboat matches!
  5. Do you think Vince would care even if it did happen? Sure, I think he would if she were underage when it happened, but if it happened in '94, she wouldn't have been. And while he wasn't initially receptive to it, it didn't take much arm wringing when Stephanie started dating HHH.
  6. So I was reading Bret Hart's ESPN interview, and he talked about his finisher in the Hart Foundation, and how they called it the Hart Attack.
  7. Wow, so many people in the company now have said, implied, or leaked that Debra deserved to be beaten because she was a bitch.
  8. The continued Luger bashing, considering Luger is currently practically broke, alone, confined to a wheelchair, and reborn, is petty.
  9. I still don't think it's true. When would Stephanie have even interacted with any of the wrestlers in 1994, and why especially would she have been on an overseas trip? I'm inclined to think there is no explanation, and it's just Vince being weird. And Vince didn't exactly ostracize HHH when he and Stephanie started dating behind his back. I would still be interested in someone who can confirm what the WON said about Savage's WWF departure at the time.
  10. The sad thing about Madusa is that she was just doing what she was told. And obviously, Vince didn't care enough when she left to keep the belt.

  14. The ROH press release about Flair coming in says that Flair is critical of the tactics Nigel McGuinness is using to win matches. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Ric Flair, critical of the way someone is winning matches? Really?
  15. Whether it means anything or not, Hogan is teasing a match against either Chris Jericho or John Cena on his Twitter page. Also, Flair is now saying in radio interviews that if Shawn Michaels gave his blessing, he would do a match against Chris Jericho in his street clothes and call it a street fight. Flair apparently doesn't realize that the gravy train will eventually end. The moment he comes back and does a match is the moment his asking price on the indies will go down, and at that point he'll be in less demand with less control over his dates. Considering the awful career choices he has made through the years, Flair is a lucky guy.
  16. Off topic, but re: Flair -- I love the tidbit in a recent Observer that Flair is privately concerned about the Jericho angle because he doesn't feel they would put Hogan in the same situation where he's merely one of a cast of many legends. Ridiculous.
  17. Orton and Jericho are both doing very well right now, but Orton is more someone who you know will eventually turn babyface and be very over for it. I suspect they'll move Jericho to Smackdown in the draft and maybe do a feud with Undertaker or something. One of the WM main event winners will have to end up on that show somehow also.

  22. I've always suspected that the Apocalypse rumor was something Scott Keith perpetuated and there was nothing to it, but I could be wrong about that. The idea of a Benoit/Eddy/Regal/Malenko main event faction in 1997 seems SKeithy more than it sounds like a WCW idea.
  23. I was really impressed with the Shiima Xion/Silas Young match. That was my first time to see either guy. Silas Young in particular looks like a star, and is probably good enough to get picked up. I will give them credit for doing some impressive things, but one thing I really liked was that they teased more big moves than they actually delivered. I also enjoyed a lot of the matwork. Not something I'd call a great match, but definitely a surprisingly good one, very fun, with two guys who seem more experienced than they probably are.
