  1. That name never fails to crack me up. Seriously, what the hell?
  2. You have a roster of as many guys or as few guys as you want, you can choose wrestlers from the past or present. Who books it, what would the focus, style and goals of the promotion be, who would be the top talent, the undercard and the announcers, the promoter, etc? Go as far with this as you want and feel free to go into everything from marketing to public relations to how you would build talent for the future. Leave no stone unturned.
  3. If Jerry McDevitt doesn't stop losing cases, I'd almost expect Vince to snap and fire him, forgetting that he's a fierce lawyer and has to do a lot of cleanup for an irresponsible company.
  4. These storylines would actually seem cutting edge if the writers were writing them with the intent of making them deep, relatable or even freaky characters instead of for comedy, which is all this will be played for. They're booking way out of their league.
  5. I edited the post to disable emoticons, even though it wouldn't surprise me if they were there.
  6. Who knows if this is true, but according to PWInsider Elite, Matt Hardy has been so upset about Edge winning the title that he has been purposely attempting to get fired by showing up late, breaking dress code and being abrasive.
  7. No, she even offered to take a pay cut and they were still insistent on letting her go.
  8. Because she was in Playboy and volunteered to improve as a wrestler in OVW she wanted more money that what they were offering so she walked. That's how I remember it. No, according to the Observer, Christy Hemme was released because Creative had nothing for her.
  9. That thread blew my mind, but I didn't have time to respond to it. Martel blows away Davey Boy, but most of Martel's best happened outside the WWF.
  10. Right. I'm sure they will attempt to discredit her by making her appear difficult to work with, but they'll have to dig deep for examples.
  11. Good interview. Rhyno's idea to convert to Islam would have worked, and I think he could have gotten over in that character more than Mark Copani did. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
  12. Yes. There was also apparently a time in 2001 when Stephanie McMahon was pushing to be taken off TV because she thought her character was stale. My, how times change.
  13. Wow, you're right. He is just an asshole with a rites of passage fetish.
  14. If I'm a betting man, Taker was pissed off about the Orton incident and decided to take it out on Matt Hardy.

  19. And the standards are totally different now than they were then. Wrestlers have always been expected to look a certain way, but that look was always achievable and realistic until Vince started pushing roid freaks and making that the standard.
  20. This misses the point of the thread. And I see what you mean about Savage. I was thinking about how huge he got in the late 80s, at least compared to his earlier years. He shrank again when WWE instituted the steroid policy, which is probably why he started wrestling with the shirt.
  21. Sorry. That was a typo on my part. It is Hepatitis, but the type wasn't specified. Still, that's a major mistake.
  22. Roddy Piper is another.
  23. Mick Foley is the obvious pick to me. Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey and Ricky Morton are the next ones that come to mind.
