  1. I wonder how Rudo would book someone who had accidentally killed people in the past -- if he'd play off of it or downplay it completely. I ask as a serious question, not as a comedic one. Regal's interview was great. While I do disagree with the total lack of blame the company has in a case like this, I also know where he's coming from, considering he used to wrestle in carnivals and broke into wrestling when it was a much tougher business for new guys. He has it easy now compared to then, so that's how he sees it.
  2. I buy Benoit, who's shorter than Michaels, against guys twice his size. It's more difficult with Michaels, though. Benoit works like a small guy going against a big guy would and should. Michaels is going to do the same spots on Kane that he would Daivari.
  3. My point was that he has the build of a pipsqueak, cowardly heel, but plays a superman babyface. He's in the wrong role for his look. That wouldn't be as much of an issue if he made his opponents look good in the process, but he typically doesn't. I understand why you thought that, and yes, I should have explained it. It's just that smaller guys are typically underdogs in wrestling, while Shawn is typically the odds-on favorite in every match and his working style does nothing to dispel that.

  14. I'm actually wanting to get my hands on as many PWIs and old Observers as possible, I've recently decided. In addition to the nostalgia and good look at the storylines and behind-the-scenes stuff, I'm also thinking I may be able to track down more dates on some stuff through the results sections in both magazines.

  18. No, I made a mistake. Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar, Lex Luger, or something like that.
  19. This was a game mentioned by Spike Dudley a couple of years back on WWE.com. Basically, someone mentions a wrestler's name (ex: Wrestler X) and the next name is a letter that starts with that wrestler's last name (ex: X The Wrestler) and so on. Chris Benoit Brock Lesnar Ray Traylor That's sort of how it would go. Anyway, I thought we'd try it here. Let's see how long we can keep it going. I have a feeling we can make it last months. We'll modify the rules for the purpose of message boarding and say that anyone who repeats a name is eliminated from the game. Ready? Let's go. First name: Lord Littlebrook
  20. With Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hays on commentary, featuring a run-in from Andre the Giant. WHOA.
  21. Considering that Vince suffered two torn quads less than a year ago, the idea of him in a match seems absurd. But it also seems Vince.
  22. I'm sure that's been considered, but I wonder if Edge would get even more X-Pac heat than he already seems to have, since he can't seem to do a good interview to save his life, and HHH and Cena would murder him on the mic. Still, MITB has had a year of hype, it needs to be resolved. I predict Hogan ends up against Big Show if they can't find a bigger star. And I have no idea what they have planned for Michaels, Misterio, Benoit, Benjamin and JBL. I'm also curious if RVD will be 100% in time to get a match on the show. If he does, they'll probably waste him against Carlito, although he really needs to be pushed as a top guy when he returns.
  23. Johnny Ace sure is good at his job.
  24. I think Batista/Kane is what's rumored for No Way Out. I'm more worried about Wrestlemania. Batista/Taker does make sense, but will Taker agree to it?
  25. This just screams of Sid Vicious and El Gigante getting huge pushes in the early 90s. Maybe one day, Vince will realize that the fat heel against the top babyface formula is dead, and he'll accept it. He seems to have been grieving that loss for over 10 years now.
