I think the MJF-Wardlow feud is likely out of the way before MJF becomes champion but then again, my AEW predictions are almost always wrong.
-
Dustin vs Sammy on Saturday now.
-
I would imagine Cole having his first loss at Revolution sets up the feud everyone wants to see, but we'll see.
-
Cole was mentioned as the new #1 contender.

I am way too entertained by this whole social media storyline of The Acclaimed being mad they weren't judges on Dynamite, having dressed for the occasion and all.

I think at this point MJF is going to be the one to dethrone him, but it's going to be a while, because the Punk-MJF feud is being paced properly and probably still has a long way to go. The logical place for it to end would be MJF handing Punk his first AEW loss, then going on to win the AEW title, at which point they will have created two new top-tier stars. As for Danielson, Dave had some interesting thoughts in the WON:

Admitting all of that is a big deal and depending on how much coverage it gets, I wouldn't be surprised if the booing comes down some. I don't mean it goes away, but just that it cools off a little. It's too much the thing to do now to go away completely.

I'm still not sure Page winning was right, but they seem committed to this direction and it's too late to back out now. If it's me, I don't take Omega vs Danielson and Punk as title matches off the table for the foreseeable future, and I build to Danielson vs Punk for All Out and try to book and fill Soldier Field, with neither of them losing a match until then. That's not what they chose, and time will tell if it was the right call I guess. The challenge AEW has in my mind is that the things they do to maximize their audience are not the things the most devoted parts of their fanbase want to see. I saw Full Gear at a movie theater and the room was pretty quiet for Punk-Kingston and Danielson-Miro but came unglued for the Bucks 6-man and Omega-Page. The Elite means a lot to their audience and I get the logic in not abandoning it for that reason. Page has been very helped by the Danielson series, to a point where I thought it was asinine they would even think about Page retaining when this started and by the time it was over, I bought it because Page stepped up so much and now looks like a worthy champion. The feud worked. The test now will be that Punk and Danielson are both doing big things but that whatever Adam Page is doing feels like the most important thing on the show and not secondary to whatever they are doing, which to me is the big risk in doing an Omega-Danielson rematch not for the title. The minute the title is an afterthought is the minute he becomes the Intercontinental Champion of the World.

Feels like there are lots of options, but I'm curious. What's next for Bryan Danielson?

Those repeated cuts to Jericho with Tarzan Boy playing were hilarious. Chris Jericho is setting his sights on becoming the tag team champions.

I'm so happy that everyone in Jungle Boy's family that's there has the same hairstyle.
-
Lucha Bros also teleported to the ring, which made it weird.

With the top-tier talent that isn't being used (and in some cases, isn't even signed), it feels like a waste to focus on him. They tried and there's no shame in that, but yeah, that should be the end of it.

Brian Pillman Jr. always comes across as such an idiot on TV. I see zero potential in him, even if his life story is compelling.
-
Nerves seemed to be getting the best of Jade Cargill there. She looked pretty lost in a lot of spots. I still think she has a lot of raw potential, but she needs way more ring time.

AEW fans seem to like WWE bashing. Wrestling was at its hottest when companies took shots at other companies. If anything, AEW should probably do way more of it.

It managed to be a step below rooty tooty booty.

An all-time classic that I think will go a long way in establishing Page as the guy.
-
This feels in real time like the best match I've seen in many years.
-
I don't think Shawn is being kept for his role in NXT as much as he is that he was a big star in pro wrestling. Remember, they have Austin, Hogan and Undertaker locked up under big money deals, and people like Hall and Nash under smaller deals but they are still under contract, for the rest of their lives because they don't want them to ever leave. They had Flair under a similar deal until he became too much to deal with.

Just asking, but ... Chris Hero?

My praise of Moriarty comes from the hour-long match with Yuta from Beyond. I don't think that match was an all-time classic, but the work was good and both guys came across as types who will be great in a few years.
-
I agree that Moriarty doesn't have all the pieces yet, but he's got a great foundation. He seems farther along than Jungle Boy was at the beginning of AEW, for instance. The Danielson match did a lot to open my eyes to Bowens, then the Jungle Boy match cemented it. Now I see him as a reliable mechanic type.

She is SVP and Chief Legal Officer of the Jaguars, yes. It's true that she is pretty much the legal go-to for the Khan family, but in some ways that sells her short. She specializes in M&A and technology law. I'm very interested in seeing who AEW hires to negotiate their next television deal.
