  1. You should collect statistical data for who won in most cases. Scott Hall was a biased surveyor, so don't listen to his interpretation of it all.
  2. What is M&A?
  3. I need to listen because for whatever reason, I've read this a few times and can't figure out what is being debated.
  4. When Cena becomes too old to be marketed to kids and women, he has also lost a big part of his value. Fans hate him so much that I wonder what kind of run he can have as a legend anyway.
  5. I have found someone who can assist me with this.

  7. Even Nash acknowledges that, which he seems to write off as just Shawn taking care of his business. My theory is that Shawn felt like he was the best guy in the business for years but didn't get pushed as the top guy, so he had a major chip on his shoulder and was out to sabotage everyone else in the ring because he was angry about his card placement.
  8. While working on the e-book, I'm finding that one thing that is slowing me down immensely is some of the research and fact checking. Are there any volunteers that would be willing to help me with this aspect of putting the book together? It's mainly confirming which issue of the WON something came up in for the first time, which town a match happened in, whether or not a title was at stake in a match ... that sort of thing. PM me if you are interested. Thanks!
  9. The ones they acknowledge are: - Beating Dusty on 9/17/81 in Kansas City - Beating Race at Starrcade '83 - Beating Kerry in Japan on 5/24/84 - Beating Dusty on 8/9/86 - Beating Garvin at Starrcade '87 - Beating Steamboat at Wrestle War '89 - Beating Sting on 1/11/91 at the Meadowlands - Winning the Royal Rumble on 1/19/92 - Beating Savage on 9/1/92 in Hershey, PA - Beating Windham at Beach Blast '93 - Beating Vader at Starrcade '93 - Beating Savage at Starrcade '95 - Beating Savage at SuperBrawl VI - Beating Hogan at Uncensored '99 - Beating Jarrett on Nitro - Nash "giving him the belt back" on Nitro
  10. So just to confirm, RINGS did not have championships until shortly before they started doing shoots. Is that correct? I just want to make sure there weren't any title matches from 1991-1996. Also, for BattlARTS, I know sometimes titles were defended from other promotions, but is it correct that they had no house titles?

I know. He absolutely did. It just got posted here as Scott Keith reporting it.
  12. I'm having trouble finding this online. Can anyone point me to where I can find info on what titles existed and a history of title changes in UWF 1.0, UWF 2.0, PWFG, RINGS and UWFI? Thanks.

  14. Unless you heard it DIRECTLY from the source (WON, PWInsider, etc.), please do not re-report second hand news at this board. So much of the time, it is twisted into something the original report never said. However, if you want to question the accuracy of a report, feel free to ask about it. Just please don't say "Dave Meltzer said" or "PWInsider reported" unless you read the original report yourself. Thank you for understanding.

Scot Keith never even reported it.

I do think some type of disputed finish is probably best for that match just to keep the feud going.

I know he paid a small fortune for it two years ago, but Jericho should probably retire the jacket.
  18. Ric Flair was probably underrated in the late 90s as a star, although not so much as a performer. Still, he consistently drew higher ratings than just about anyone else would with the same level of push. When the WWF made their comeback, Flair interviews and matches were typically the only quarter hours that could post competitive numbers with whatever was on Raw.

I just wanted to say that Rusev shows how easy it is to get someone over when they don't overthink it. Most of the time, they do overthink it though, and I think it comes from some insecure place where writers write to show the value of writing instead of to get over talent.

I figured Rollins was not really hurt and that they just wanted him out of the ring, but building a show toward a huge Ambrose comeback and not delivering it is counterproductive unless they're going back to the meta booking where they want to get Ambrose more over as someone who fans think is being held back so he doesn't overshadow the main eventers, which is quite possible.
  21. The most overrated wrestling move is the spear. Too many guys use it and it looks like crap most of the time. The most overrated spot is anything involving the announce table. Seriously, I'd be happy if I never saw a spot on an announce table again.

That is definitely a case of outsmarting themselves if true.
  23. I think he'll have another run, if not a few more runs. People get injured, and he'll be the fall back guy. Just like he currently is. Also, if the Roman Reigns push flops, they may be forced to go back to him. He is the champion when they need someone transitional precisely because they don't want to hurt anyone who they think has a future by making them Ron Garvin.
  24. Terry Gordy is really overrated. I like him in the U.S., but in Japan, he's like watching paint dry most of the time.
