I think it's because the cut and paste sites "respects the boys in the back", i.e. soft peddle the news and aren't as outspoken or opinionated about the performers they cover.

Or, silly comedy writers said "Goldust amd Goldberg! It'll be funny!" with absolutely no ultra weird sinister ulterior motives. I was watching that Elimination Chamber match recently and Goldberg is booked like the world's biggest badass ever in it, and the crowd is super hot for him. It took HHH, Flair, and the sledgehammer to put him down. It was great. It's wrestling, there's usually ultra weird sinister ulterior motives. IIRC, Meltzer said Gerwirtz was bragging afterward about what he got Goldberg to do. It was an egofuck for Gerwirtz. Regarding the Elimination Chamber match, even though it was a clever finish, it was the wrong time for Goldberg to lose. He never got as hot again.

I wasn't arguing that the skit killed his character dead (being pinned by an immobile Triple H at SummerSlam was a much more egregious error). But it's a clear example where WWE scripted a segment merely to screw with a character they didn't create.

No, Dave's talking about Rock's infamous "Big Daddy Bitch" promo that happened later in the nWo's shortlived WWE run.

It's not like they're paying Danielson and Kaval a ton. And even that wouldn't stop Vince and his petty inner circle. Goldberg wearing Goldust's wig ring a bell?

Dave Meltzer on karma for Kevin Nash:

Listening to Dave knock Homicide on his latest radio show (he didn't get screwed that bad in TNA, he didn't set the world on fire either, he was just a guy), makes me think he forgot how hot the LAX act was at their peak.

Sean Radican of the Torch has only read the first 33 pages of Countdown To Lockdown and he's already calling it "self-depricating torture": Not that this should come as any surprise to anyone that has been following Foley of late.

Having listened to what Todd Martin said about Ring Of Hell on a preceding Figure Four Daily show (he does regular book reviews and was talking about books that exposed the business like Sex Lies and Headlocks, Fall Guys and Chokehold) who Lance Storm was responding to, I'm a bit bemused why Lance would feel the need to pick the Ring Of Hell scab again. Todd's review was balanced though leaning towards negative. I think what irked Lance was Todd's devil advocate argument that there was no obligation to say anything positive about the business by the author because it was a book focused on the Benoit double murder suicide, but it Todd made clear that he was playing devil's advocate and he thought the book was ultimately unfairly negative. I did like Bryan's shot at a group of fans that are very negative about the business to an obsessive degree. Gee I wonder who he could be talking about.

I'm mildly surprised that Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy were featured.

Nice interview Bix. Cabana comes across really likeable, hope the comedy improv goes well for him. As a British fan, I was a little disappointed with some of his thoughts on the British candidates. It's funny that he voted for Carlos Colon, while citing Big Daddy's hatred of kids and Pallo's exposing of the business as reasons not to vote for them. Personally, I feel that voting for Saint and Rocco first over some of the other bigger name candidates would be a bit like voting Red Bastien first over Bruno Sammartino as 60s/70s American stars for the Hall Of Fame.

"Where was Lance Storm in Ring Of Hell? He wasn't there!" - Bryan Alvarez I think we can all agree that a book about Chris Benoit should have a whole chapter devoted to saying how awesome the clean living anomaly Lance Storm was, even though Storm wasn't really a major part of Benoit's life story. Oh and I also like to live in Lance Storm's world where unreliable sources always lie and reliable sources always tell the truth. It would make wrestling reporting so much easier.

TrashTalkingLinda.com This website by the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee is a bit cheesy and embarrassing to be honest.

Aloisia/Isis the Amazon Responds to Recent Nude Photos Claims Aloisia didn’t do anything Linda McMahon wouldn’t do! Regarding filling in background information forms that is.

From James Caldwell: I'm a bit sceptical of this story, because lord knows they've pushed some really messed up, physical wrecks in their time. But it's really scary if true.
-
Speaking about the Punk promo on Raw, one thing Dave, Bryan and Todd missed is Punk, a sanctimonious heel, criticising Raw's poor family values was likely a knock on Linda McMahon's political opponents.

That's exactly what Bret did in Canada!

Yeah, I largely agree with El-P and Jingus about kayfabe, with the caveat being that when you're around young kids who may still believe then you should revert back to character. Regarding why we haven't heard about Serena's drinking in public before now, there are not double standards in wrestling, but quadruple standards. What's enough to get Serena fired is AOK if you're Chris Jericho or Ric Flair, for example. Also, the wrestling media has proven time and time again that they will only report on a person's issues until they publicly screw up or they become an issue with the company they're working for.
-
A wink wink comment by Dave Meltzer from his Impact spoilers that may shed some light on Serena's issues: I read that and thought Serena was bulimic, before I found out she was fired for her drunken behaviour.

It's a real sport. It's like Peter Gammons talking to Bud Selig. Does Peter Gammons go on a message board and brag about how quickly Bud Selig responded to a private text message of his, while getting in a dig about another baseball bigwig who is less open with him? Not that it's a big deal or anything.

Unfortunately Bam Bam Bigelow is too busy haunting the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Amsterdam, New York, to appear on Raw at the moment.

LOL, can anyone say conflict of interest.
