Not sure how I missed this before, but: Vince produced "Later"?

Bingo card is a red X. Somebody please re-upload. -
See first post Also, they're charging $5 more on eBay for each version of the interview set than they are on their regular website, when it's usually the same or less on eBay.
-
Whoops, you're right about the autographed ones being limited. IIRC they may have re-worded the description. The 4 disc set is still a Highspots exclusive, though. What type of shipping did you use? For some reason I find it hilarious that I'd get it at least a day before you when you're so much closer to them.
-
He did, but without the setup (Vince arrives sloshed at a party that existed in part to commemorate the end of the testing only for cocaine era) and the aftermath.

$25 for the 3 disc version that's also sold by others, $30 for the 4 disc, Highspots exclusive, limited to 500 copies version. It is astute but Flair seems to be Mr. Money Upfront at the moment. Well, yes. Started watching with the non-chronological disc #4 and it's very good so far. They do mention that their deal included Flair's appearances for them, which explains the increase to $100,000.

I'm curious as to how much one is allowed to associate with Flair outside the limo as it wasn't really clear. My dad astutely noted that they should've tried to work out a royalty based deal (since as far as we know, the interview was the usual upfront payment that's standard for shoot interviews) so Flair would promote it like hell everywhere he went.

It started shipping Monday and I got it today. The packaging is an incredible effort almost on par w/ WWE's best: Haven't started watching yet, will later tonight. I wonder if there's any significance to the presence of a UPC number. I'm really curious as to how they're planning on not losing their ass here. Did the $100,000 also include discounted (down from $10,000) appearances on top of a $50,000 (the original asking price) interview? If not, how did the price double? Are they banking more on direct sales to fans or wholesale money to RF, ROH, etc? Will they eventually try to license it to Big Vision for retail distribution? I really don't see how this won't destroy (or at least severely hurt) them. I've always had good dealings with them so I'd hate to see their planned peak kill the company. ---------------------- Meanwhile, on eBay (here and also here, Highspots is selling...umm...just read it:

I have a DVD of Undertakers footage that I put together for Val Puccio, I can rip a match or two if anyone wants.

I was reading an early '85 issue (pre-WM) and he said he had 900 subscribers then, so I have to think that he has more subscribers than he lets on now.

Pitbull 2 vs Chris Jericho - ECW Arena 6/22/96 This is on History of ECW on 24/7 right now. I loved it at the time but parts of it don't age well, like Pitbull 2 hitting a press slam into a tombstone piledriver in the first 2 minutes for a 2 count, Jericho really blatantly calling spots with his hands, and Pitbull braining Jericho with a chair which is really out of place in what's otherwise a babyface match spotfest where you can sort of see every HHH criticism of Jericho as the truth. That said, it's still a lot of fun to watch, with some really cool moves that I haven't seen anywhere else, like the aforementioned press slam -> tombstone and Jericho's Silver King dive into a moonsault, plus the really awesome finish where Jericho goes for a top rope huricanrana, Pitbull stands up to counter with a Superbomb, and Jericho counters with the huricanarana at the last second to get the win. Still worth watching but it's not the great match it seemed like at the time, not holding up as well as similar style matches like Steiners vs Luger/Sting.

Has he been on the payroll all this time? Checking Wikipedia (I know...) it states he's been a road agent all this time, which is news to me. He's actually the official WWE Concierge, which is a fancy way of saying "gopher."

Vince does have precedent for paying the "job for life" types to to nothing.

Meltzer's sure that the wheelchair is because they don't want her standing/walking for weight reasons.

The pretty faces with no wrestling background deal goes back to Craig DeGeorge.
-
At least he's admitting there's no real reason that he's pursuing all of this crap other than putting the involved police departments in a bad light.
-
I still don't regret thinking this was a good idea, as I had no idea about his reputation in Chicago for being a horrible live broadcaster.

Tabe and I decided to do something like this article about video games for commercially released wrestling videos after daring each other to try for far too long. We need assistance from everyone to make it as good as possible. Off the top of my head, we need more details about: - Whether or not anyone has ever seen an official release copy of WCW Clash of the Champions XXIII that was advertised during the show with an 800 number and then forgotten about. - Details on the video only available with new subscriptions to WWF Magazine that included the Slaughter-Patterson Alley Fight. - Details on the WCW Fan Favorites video (that I recall was some sort of exclusive) with matches taken from a WCW.com poll. - A decent ranking of the last year or two of Coliseum Video releases and the early WWF Home Video releases. - Details about Silvervision's NTSC WWF releases. - Any details about why NWA Crockett Cup '86 was pulled so quickly other than speculation that it was related to JCP and the UWF's working agreement ceasing. - Any details about the rarity of the various alternate versions of JCP/WCW releases relative to other versions. - Details about the rarest WWF Home Video DVDs that were re-released with WWE inserts after the name change. I'm sure Tabe will have more that he can add. Thanks!

The same post also has this gem: Someone's still getting yelled at for telling Tony Jones to get on the gas while they were on-camera. Also: LOL that he was shocked that an "art film" would get a DVD release and/or cable play for years. -
