  2. "Lawler fans are bandwagon jumpers who want to have sex with him" and "Lawler fans all have foot fetishes" are not legitimate arguments, though.
  3. Someone should let Beast know that the Del Rio gimmick is based on how he and uncle Mil act in real life.
  4. Yup.
  5. Referees are considered in-ring talent. Still...WTF?
  6. Flair in the robe becomes really distracting once you read about it, like how he never wins if he's in his red trunks. I think it's a Vince thing about how the character is perceived. IIRC he's said something like "CM Punk doesn't look like CM Punk if he's not in his gear."
  7. What do they call him, and why?Punk and variations thereof. I don't know know if there's any origin to it pre-wrestling other than the obvious. I was under the impression that's why Vince had the "I can call you Phil, right?" line in the negotiation segment: Not OMGZ SHOOT NAMES HAVE BEEN UTTERED as much as "nobody calls him that." For the record, he has introduced himself as Phil to people. Well, I have to say that surprises me for a number of reasons. Unless they weren't wrestling fans, I guess. Still, it's not like I was trying to argue anything in the first place, so...how about that Triple H? I feel he has instituted a "glass ceiling."
  8. I'm not sure what is more memorable about this whole thing to me. "I SAW THE GROUND IN 3D!!!!!!" or "Special Referee Kevin."
  9. Too bad this went on without the buildup. Villalobos was living in a tiny shack of a HUD home that he proudly displayed a photo of on TV. A local Ford dealer gave him this car and then...yeah.

  11. I have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody on Earth, including his mom, calls him Phil Brooks. Okay, I will refrain from calling him Phil Brooks. I made a long post about the overall angle, and THAT is what you choose to respond to? I was kidding.
  12. I have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody on Earth, including his mom, calls him Phil Brooks.
  13. Sure, I'll link the main section and my profile page and such.
  14. He's right, he kept up usenet style quoting for years and it took us all forever to shame him out of it. Also, I thought Loss knew better than to refer to Punk as Phil Brooks...
  15. I know Cowell got the idea for Idol partially from working on Wrestlemania: The Album ("wow, if this weird celebrity thing can be a big hit in the UK...") but wow.
  16. He came back for a secure main event slot with creative fulfillment. It's too much to pass up, even with how good he is with his money. They know he's gone if they come up with something really stupid. Plus, now that Austin is clearly leaning more strongly towards doing the WM match with Punk, he has even more leverage than before.
  17. I know it's on their privacy policy and was sent the link. I mean I couldn't find where they actually link it on the site.
  18. Emphasis mine. What the hell? They don't know my IP and haven't banned it, as I looked (on my iPad, no way am I letting a Windows PC near that site) to see if I could read a story there when made aware of this. Besides, I never C&P from them. The only exception was a few VERY short quotes when Highspots first filed the lawsuit against Flair, and those were all direct quotes from the legal filings, not any original content. I knew they were weird about "owning the news," but geez. Also, I'm not sure how that would make me "deranged," but that's Scherer & Smarky for you. For what it's worth...I couldn't find where this is even linked on their site, nor could my friend who IMed me about it. Where'd this pop up?
  19. I had been wondering how she could look like that if she was still sparking the owl regularly...
  20. I suppose it's possible they were taped but neve fused for anything.
  21. Well, "heel" has been a non wrestling term for villain forever and "workrate" is in fact a real sports term.
  22. I was thinking about that, too. The wording made me actively angry. "Please care more about her worked injury than her apparent body image issues and the related health problems."
  23. This has a bunch of pics and info: http://realwrestlecrap.proboards.com/index...7226&page=1 Anyway, she had gone from looking different (overly muscular) to also looking sickly emaciated. Now, Chikara wrote her out with an injury angle. She used to be skinny but in a normal looking way with a naturally slight build. Now... I hope she gets her shit together. This is bad, and also seems indicative of problems throughout the business. And whatever body image issues she may have, it probably didn't help that she photographs oddly and has never looked as pretty as she does in person in photos and videos. It's like whatever caused that was conspiring for this to happen.
