  1. Andre looked horrible. Plus his gimmick is killed by sitting down. Then again he was in bad health. Armstrong's promo was gold.
  2. It's really hard to swallow this heel turn. Just not well thought out and lacked a legit reason. Plus Armstrong looks like a bitch taking Pillman's shit.
  3. I thought this was good. It seemed more like a competetive squash. Takahashi sold the knockouts real well. Vale has some amazing kicks and good strikes. I loved how Takahasi had Vale either in a heel hook or an ankle lock, to escape all Vale does is punch him in the ribs. That was awesome.
  4. Nice little t.v bout that had some cool stuff in it. Looking forward to their FCA bout.
  5. Savage's leg selling was great. I dug Perfect on the outside so they seemed like they were attacking Savage from all sides. Flair worked the leg over, but he has done much better before. Savage was pretty damn impressive carrying this. Heck Flair was the 3rd best person in this match. I thought Perfect out worked Flair here.
  6. Kinda disapointing considering who all is involved. The crowd was really shitty which didn't help much since both guys are experts to playing with and off a crowd.
  7. I liked this match. Easily a top 5 Warrior match. The story that was told in the ring was easy to follow. All the stuff outside the ring hampered the flow of the match, but I guess they thought they needed it to hide Warrior. Still their was a lot of drama and good story telling in the match.
  8. This was a pretty great match. The crowd was hot throughout. Bret is the man here.
  9. Another cool thing point you guys brought up was the Lawler/Funk match from 81 being just slight below Lawler/Dundee and Lawler/ Mantell. Yet didn't work Lawler as much as the other 2. The same logic would apply with the Flair feud. They did the injury angle and the GAB was the 1st time they worked and had a great match. They shot an an angle with Sting and Funk worked him on houseshows lead up to the GAB 89. I know Funk worked Flair in Japan in 78 because of that handheld. I wonder if they worked each other prior. You would think they would in St. Louis or Florida at some point.
  10. Solid stuff. Funny hearing Gilbert call someone else a midget since his height was always a main reason why he didn't headline in some areas. Though I would love to see a Gilbert/Adams match.
  11. Good, but kinda weird.
  12. Fun little match. Not enough time to really build to much. True the ref threw some of those timing spots off.
  13. With Lawler/Jarrett vs. The WWF and the Moondogs, Dundee,Rich,Christopher, and both Gilberts Memphis really seems hot. Then again Memphis is so great at presentation.
  14. All I can say this is some tremendous stuff. Memphis really stands the test of time. Lawler is simply amazing here. Hart is so tremendous here. He was so amazing on the DVDVR Memphis 80's set. You just want to throw up with how WWF and WCW just wasted his talents for years. Meltzer mentioned how amazing Hart comes across on the Memphis Heat DVD and wondered how he stands up to young Cornette and Heenan.
  15. These guys worked hard. To spend 95% of the time on the floor and go 30 minutes. These guys are studs. I agree it went too long. I loved the mat work, and them shooting for submissions. You cut about 10 or 15 minutes out of this bout you have a MOTY contender. Like Loss said it's hard to go that long in this style.
  16. I liked the match. It wasn't as good as 93 but still an excellent match. I thought Dragon's spinning toe holds in the 1st fall fall looked great. Some of the matwork was cool. Some of Dragon's suplexes into submissions were like as McMahon would say on commentary whatamaneuver. I also loved that finish to the 3rd caida. Dragon goes over Casas, but doesn't land on his feet clean. Dragon stumbles and Casa's catches him in a cradle for the pin was cool.
  17. It was Pirata Morgan.
  18. These are some good angles, though both feuds having money involved kinda dillutes some of the angles. Though with the Lee angle it makes Lee seem much more important in the grand schemes of things in the promotion.
  19. Tommy rich shooting 6n under par might be the biggest exaggeration in the history of wrestling.
  20. I thought this was good. It was a methodical bout. I thought the work was smart and told a basic story. Hansen was great working over Misawa's arm. The shoulder breaker on the guardrail was a great spot. The finish was a tad anti climatic though.
  21. He really does bury Bret here. I mean if you can't get positive words from your family your in trouble.
