This is a good match. The MVC just destroy the natives. Jumbo's selling and fighting underneath is pretty great. A good match to get the MVC over. I would have preferred a finish that would have played into the leg work, but I'll take the powerbomb.

The show was really good. Even though I have Flair as my GOAT. Funk makes a top 5 easy for me. When we did the Smarkchoice poll years ago I had Funk I believe #3 or 4. I hope you guys do a show in the future on something that you guys have polar opposite opinions on. So we get a little more debate going on.

This is a kind of a tricky timeline. I thought at the Clash with Flair/Steamboat Scott was fired. A committee was put together. With Flair as the head along with Ross,Gilbert, and Sullivan. Eventually, Ross and Gilbert were either pushed out or quit and Terry Funk and Cornette joined the team. At or a little after GAB 89 Flair wanted control and the commitie was resolved. Though you could still see people having involvement in the booking. For example, Cornette was booking the MX and Dudes stuff. Sullivan was booking his programs with Cactus Jack and Buzz Sawyer etc. Eventually Flair resigned at Wrestlewar 90.

Put me down as a guy who liked this. It was a solid meat and potato match. Manny working over Reed's neck, and Reed working over the Bull's arm. The story was fine. The finish was fine if we were building a rematch. The work was just unspectacular where their wasn't a lot off oohs and ahhs. As a fan of Fernandez I'm glad it's there.

Reed was the face in this match.

The other guy was John Tatum who a lot of people have been raving about on the DVDVR 80's sets.

I liked this and kinda had a "Rocky" feel to it. Vrij was good with his heeling it up and playing to the crowd. This had a ton of heat, and made the match seem special.

I thought this was pretty fun. I was loving all those throws. I guess this is what a spot fest would consist of in Rings.

This was another really strong 6 man from All-Japan.

[1992-08-15-USWA-TV] Interview: Eddie & Doug Gilbert & Brian Christopher

I like these guys as a trio. Would like it a bit better if they had a big guy(physically) in the group. -
[1992-08-15-WWF-Superstars] Randy Savage and Mr. Perfect

Yeah no believes either Savage or Warrior are turning. So as an angle it doesn't work. Though it does lead to some possibilities. -
[1992-08-15-W*ING-Be Ambitious] The Headhunters vs Mr Pogo & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga
shoe replied to Loss's topic in August 1992
That blade job was flowing. With that said it didn't do a lot for me. Thought the brawling was there. Just brawling for the sake of brawling. Though if the Headhunters were around in the 80's they could have drawn decently in some of the territories. -
Yes and that was awesome. As for the match, Who booked this shit, Herb Abrams? That was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in wrestling. Didn't the Rock N Roll Express do a match like this a year later? The Rock N Roll match was a loser must bungee jump. This was so wacked. They even have Chaz's mom out there. Their is a lot of things that could have lead to someone getting hurt.

This is pretty interesting. Both guys worked hard and this is a real cool find.

Kinda funny. On Hugh Jackman's twitter when he hosted Raw the only pic on his Twitter was of him and The Brawler. Jackman mentioned he saw the Brawler wrestle live in Sydney in 86.

For me I like discussing or reading about matches. Discussing workers is always fun because their is so much point counter point stuff. I also like discussing territory booking and angles.

This is such an amazing match. Easily a match you show to prove Rude's greatness. The heat in this is awesome. Plus the finishing run in this is awesome. Chono was pretty awesome here too.

This is pretty great. I loved the Scott Steiner/Muto mat exchange. Muto/Sasaski mocking the Steiners was great. Just chalked full of great stuff.- 12 replies

This was tremendous. Charles was attacking Atlantis's arm throughout the bout. Atlantis selling of the limb was great. I would have preferred if Atlantis would have won by submission. The matwork was real good here. It felt like a struggle. Atlantis was great selling underneath.

I thought this was excellent. I enjoyed the mat work. I can understand if people thought it dragged. They were on the mat for about 9 minutes. Then they started to go and criss crossing up each others spots. That was cool. The finish was weird. They went to that Yakuza kick, block, drop kick, STF spot at least 5 times. Finally, we get Chono clamp on the STF for the win.

I liked this too. Rude's knee drop is wicked awesome. Liked how Sasaki kept up the pressure on Rude's back. I'm in the minority here and liked the Hash match better.

[1992-08-10-NJPW-G1 Climax] Rick Rude vs Shinya Hashimoto
shoe replied to Loss's topic in August 1992
It was a styles clash, but I thought a lot of it worked. Hash work is so snug looking, and Rude is a great bumper and sells his ass off that this worked for me. True the Madusa's interference didn't seem right. I liked Hash working over Rude's back was well done. Rude's top rope DDT was top choice stuff.- 22 replies
