  1. I'm not sure if any of the folks I met in 2009 were already regulars in 2002. Probably some of them. I've been told that Zeus has bought up all of the Osaka Pro stock and will be reviving the promotion next year. We're all pretty excited for that.
  2. Thanks for the heads up, @El-P Thanks for the info, @KinchStalker
  3. That main event was some vintage Osaka Pro/Chikaa-style in-ring fun. I loved that. Great show. Wall to wall entertainment, two hours flew by like nothing.
  4. The highest highs and the lowest lows. Damn, man...

    AEW Dark Megathread

I want to see Lulu Pencil in the AEW ring! Also, I enjoyed seeing straight-up squash matches, even if I agree that it's most fun to watch Dustin when he's fighting from underneath.
  6. NJPW presents: An Evening of Count-Out Teases
  7. Thanks! I have already been in touch with, and heard back from, ZEUS, Kenji, Kae, and Kaoru. Obviously, we are all freaking out over here. Very much looking forward to seeing what ZEUS' version of Osaka Pro will be like.
  8. Without spoiling tonight's result, I'll say that regardless of who takes B block, we are damn near guaranteed a great final. And the B-block determiner should be pretty damned good as well.
  9. I am stealing that joke. I guess we get Bryan vs Dustin, Kingston, Mox, with a Mox heel turn in the final to set up heel Mox vs new Anxious Millennial Champion, and Bryan feuds with whomever interferes to oost him the tournament win (maybe Kenny again?)
  10. Which is.atronger: a.Dragon or a.Fish?
  11. Mox v Wheeler and Hogan (not that one) v Penelope added.to.the announced card, which I think was: Dragon vs Fish Lucha Bros vs A Masked Tag Team of Andrade's acquaintance Dante v Malakai Tournament bracket announcement
  12. Bryan vs MiSu was the best G1 match of this year.
  13. I still love the sing-alongs. Excited to see how Dos Santos looks in there. Hoping for Mark Coleman/Don Frye-level.competence
  14. Yep. My nitpick would be that they followed up a "skin of his teeth" match with a "skin of her teeth" match. I think Bunny is wildly underrated in some places. She is so naturally hate-able. Excellent heel.
  15. If you hate Dan Lambert's "angry pro wrestling grandpa" act... There's a pretty good chance that you yourself are an angry pro wrestling grandpa.
  16. He needs someone to do.for him what (as you correctly pointed out) MiSu did for Bryan! That being said, I am.all for people, including wrestlers, being happy
  17. For me it made it better that the crowd was not that hot for the first two matches, but Bryan and MiSu drew them in 100 percent with strike exchanges, mat work, and character work. Amazing stuff. That is how to work a crowd! Also: THAT is how to WORK a (series of) strike exchange(s). I Legit right up there with Ishii vs Moose and WALTER vs Dragunov in my personal MOTY list. Enjoyed that more than Bryan v Kenny, which is REALLY saying somethung.
  18. Who can win, and how, per NJPW1972
  19. Bryan vs MiSu is a legit dream match, and Moriarty vs Fish ain't exactly chopped liver. If this is what "competition" brings, here's to Vince continually trying to push Tony. Hot damn!
  20. Damn. That is legit interesting to think about. TNA/Impact has the biggest name, ROH has that legacy of great matches. MLW has, uh, Jacob Fatu's cool finisher.... But I'd guess GCW puts more butts in seats than any of them. In my heart right now they are #2 in America and #3 in the world in terms of what I am.most excited to see/happy to spend my time on. Which, frankly, surprises me.
  21. There never are
  22. Man, GCW just keeps delivering for their fans. And I love their crowds. The Mox vs Gage main event hasn't even happened yet, and I've marked out a dozen times here. Violence, brawling, comedy, story-telling, David v Goliath... I enjoy this as much as AEW, which ir REALLY saying something.
