Flair to wrestle for Hulkamania promotion
Dylan Waco replied to Boondocks Kernoodle's topic in Megathread archive
That Hogan v. Hennig match from the XWF couldn't have had many people there. -
And a run-in from the tOA peanut gallery! Shocking, though there aren't enough *Big Ass Laughs* to make this a five star post and you lack the out of context quote at the end as well. I must say I did chuckle at being accused of running in to protect OJ (who I don't even agree with on the issue at hand or most things for that matter) when you have decided to grace us with your presence for the sole purpose of showcasing one of John's few remaining e-friends. But hey, I guess someone has to fill the void left by Frank Jewett right?
-
John I'm quite certain no one other than you has ever seen your cock let alone "obsessed" over it. You have proven yourself totally incapable of maintaining friendships (oh wait! I'm no selling Hoback! Time to throw this post on the woodpile right?) and I doubt you've ever kissed a woman, so the fact that you are a long time and heavy consumer of porn isn't surprising. Hell I'd be willing to be that most of the denizens of this site have watched porn more than a few times in their life and as I noted some time back I have no problem with the porn v. wrestling comparison. I do however find it disturbing that you felt the need to go into graphic detail about how much you enjoyed a certain adult performer and the various "moves" she "brought to the table" (hey look I bit your analogy there!) on a public message board. The fact that you feel the need to bring up your allegedly witty Ginger Lynn comparison non-stop is far more trollish than anything OJ has done in this thread despite your clever little pic and the only reason I even felt the need to respond to you in the first place. The fact that you think talking about your mastabutory fantasies with a group of people you've never met isn't strange is bizarre to say the least and would certainly qualify as perverted in almost every context. The fact that you are pretending that your "love" for watching Ginger Lynn getting "fucked up the ass" is totally disconnected from these fantasies just makes you a dumb shit as well.
-
Sure John. I'm sure you "loved" watching Ginger "take it up the ass" for poorly artistic/aesthetic reasons. My mistake.
-
"Let's hope he (John) doesn't start rambling about Pro Wrestling and (how much he enjoyed watching) Ginger Lynn (while he played with himself) again."
-
Man Black Tiger v. Tiger Mask was a legit piece of shit. Watching stuff for the Smarkschoice ECW poll parallel to this and I can say without reservation that I have yet to see a J.T. Smith or Hack Myers match as bad as that one.

The History of the World Heavyweight Championship

That's actually a really disappointing set. Orton v. Rey and Simmons v. Vader are nice inclusions, but much of the rest of this is pretty pedestrian stuff. -
If voting time permits, I'm going to try and rewatch everything at least once.
-
I thought Inoki/Hansen was a good rivalry. Not great, but good. I agree with Will that the Sept. match was the best of the bunch, though I'd rate the Feb match below the May match for last in the series.
-
Just got my set today, about to put it in now. You were low on Yatsu OJ?
-
Hey Bix, I see you are moving to Scottsdale
-
Not sensitive at all. I just have no clue why you feel the need to come into a thread and defend the honor of Dave and Bryan any time they are criticized.
-
Beast, why do you come into this thread at all? The title alone should tell you it's not your thing.
-
I think it's probably a case of WWE having enough home grown freaks with muscle tears and concussion problems. The need to import another is minimal.

Flair to wrestle for Hulkamania promotion

I wonder who is paying for Reid's gambling habit/drug rehab? -
Subconciously self-loathing, then? Because despite all your credentials, you twice hit up the same "stupid fuckin' rednecks" stereotypes that so many yankees often make such an annoying habit out of. Not self-loathing at all as evidenced by everything I just wrote. And I must admit that I find the interjection of managerial elite language about the "subconscious" to be deeply amusing, albeit in an unintentional way. But enough of this. This is PWO and I will leave discussion of my political/cultural/economic views for other venues.

"Racist," anti-Southerner? I'm struggling to think of a more inaccurate description one could give a person. So far I've got nothing. I'm from the hills of East Tennessee originally. All of my family lives in Chattanooga and the area around it. My favorite band of all time is Lynyrd Skynyrd and I regularly listen to Hank Williams Jr. I openly refer to myself as a punk rock redneck when people ask me about my cultural background. In my capacity as a semi-relevant current affairs writer and commentator I've spoken to the Sons of Confederate Veterans multiple times (granted one of those times was a decentralist defense of John Brown and Robert Williams, but I'm an advocate of autonomy movements, not racial caste systems). My best friend is a well known political commentator nicknamed The Southern Avenger. I've written thousands of words on the numerous attempts to denigrate Southern culture. I'm an advocate of regional secession movements, and would prefer that my home state of South Carolina become it's own country. I've spent hours and hours researching various aspects of Southern history, working with the local Gullah community on historic preservation issues, et. My favorite style of wrestling is traditional Southern tag wrestling. I'm not anti-Southern at all. If anything I'm a philo-Southerner. And the fact that I am a Southerner, who has lived and traveled throughout all of the South is what I base my comments on. As said before my family is from Chattanooga. I was born in East Ridge. I've been to shows there and in Rossville, GA (Terry Gordy's home town) and in Cleveland and in other areas of North Georgia/East Tennessee. There are many stereotypical Southerners that live in these areas and a lot of them happen to believe wrestling is real. But they are a small portion of Southerners and they are a small portion of the overall fan base. My Uncle promoted shows in East Tennessee. Red Bank is the meth capital of the U.S. That part of Appalachia is one of the only areas of the country where sex between cousins is NOT totally unheard of. I know what I've seen and lived. Doesn't mean I hate the South. Also I'm sorry but the argument that food service workers aren't harrassed/assaulted as often as pro wrestling is a point of view that is totally unrepresentative of the World I live in. I doubt a survey of 1000 food service workers with even a casual knowledge of pro wrestling would result in more than ten people coming to the same conclusion you have here.
-
Are there mildly retarded rednecks in the mountains of East Tennessee who sleep with their second cousins, consume meth like water, and think wrestling is real? Yes. But that is a small, small, small, small, small portion of the fan base. Hooters analogy is in no way a bad analogy. Also anyone who has ever worked any sort of food service would confirm the prevalence of creepy pervs, serial molesters, foot fetishists, et that harrass and assault female workers. Almost across the board this happens to the nicer girls who for the most are "working" a gimmick of sorts, as 90 percent of food and bev is filled with deeply cynical people. If anything they get attacked/groped/et. more often than wrestlers.

The problem in that thread wasn't any comparison.

From memory 02/03 is when Martin and Wahlers got ballots.
-
Dave's clearly lying or doesn't know how his own system works.
-
Also Volk Han is a Japanese candidate and he's a better pick than Saito in my opinion.

I'm not going to argue the relative merits of Bastien's work because to be honest I've seen little of it. Still the consensus among his peers and people who are old enough to have seen him in his prime is that Bastien was a top worker of the era. People don't talk about Bastien's candidacy on account of influence or drawing power. The issue is always "he could work." Benoit - Bastien comparison is not me comparing workers, but perception of workers and candidacies.
-
The best thing about Taue being out is that by the metric Dave has established for guys like Edge there is absolutely no argument for Taue not being at minimum on the ballot, so you get the old "what their peers thought of them" talking point
-
I'm not a big HHH fan, but one could make the case that he was the fourth peg on that boom above Taker and the big "heel" of the bunch. I agree with the general criticism about when he was inducted, but that's a relevant point. That and the fact that the "boom" in question far surpasses what Edge is doing now. On the other hand I really don't buy the argument that Rude is a better candidate than Edge, though based on Meltzer's arguments I'd love to hear him try and defend Edge over Sid.
