  1. Looks like the draft is going to stall out just a bit today as I am leaving the house in 20 minutes and I'm not sure what kind of availability I will have until about 8EST
  2. I have gotten remarkably lucky with the picks this round. Very few guys I had any interest in. I may be able to load up my roster with "wants" yet.
  3. To me Bassarab is one of the most below the radar good picks in the draft. Yes he had just started, but by most accounts he is a guy who was a natural, and more importantly he is a good looking babyface that you can put just about anywhere on any card.
  4. PNW and Maple Leaf Wrestling are pleased to announce an arrangement whereby Bobby Bass and Ben Bassarab will split their time equally between the two promotions. More details to come in the coming weeks.
  5. I'll be asleep soon, and this is the last I'll post about it, but JVK will be able to pass Wahoo's Leg in 2 1/2 hours at 5:45AM EST. Hope Wahoo can see this and can get his pick in before then.
  6. Wahoo's Leg has a little less than 3 1/2 hours before JVK can lap him.
  7. I actually have 43 picks on the list I am currently operating from, but two of them may not be allowed.
  8. Man there is still a LONG time before I pick again. I'm looking at my board and looking at what is out there and I think I have one more quality pick, two at most.
  9. Volkoff could have easily gone earlier. Good fit in JCP. Cortez is a good fit in Maple Leaf.
  10. Sierra was the best all around guy left. By far. Not even close. He could be a top guy in the right fed in 83.
  11. Adnan fell way too far. He's the guy I kept referring to. Tons of value in the right promotion. In the AWA his value is massive of course. Austen is a steal this late too
  12. Yep. Bobby's time will be split in some fashion.
  13. There are a fair amount of Bobby tag matches online but the best stuff of his I've seen I have on disc. Him waving an American flag in Sunny War Cloud's face is still one of the funniest non-pc things I've ever seen a heel do. He is going to be the mouthpiece for one of my stables.
  14. I was really, really torn with that pick. I'm really taking a gamble that the next guy on my depth chart who I really want is going to fall. We'll see.
  15. Taking risk here, but Portland will be drafting NO CLASS, BOBBY BASS
  16. The Mad Dog Lefebvre pick fucks me pretty bad. I had a plan for him. Didn't think he'd go this early. Probably not someone I can naturally replace in my plans either. My idea scenario was to pair him with Frenchy, but that went out of the window with the last WWC so I guess it's not that bad. Either way I"m going to have to play my plans way closer to the vest. Far too many people have an idea of who my sleeper picks have been and I don't like that. Thankfully my last sleeper I have disclosed to only one person.
  17. I might have picked Pettipas next. He is a steal in terms of talent.
  18. I am not opposed to shortening time limits, but I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference. I actually disagree with Grimmas though. I think there are three to four more rounds where solid picks will be available. By the time we hit round 15 or 16 it is going to be slim pickings though. People will need to be creative.
  19. I thought the later rounds would go quicker as people just scrambled to fill up their undercards but I think the opposite is happening. People are now looking for diamonds in the rough and/or desperately scrambling to fill needs with the few remaining pieces that might fit. I also think the time zone issue is having more of an effect as now people don't see as much value in their picks, so the immediacy isn't there anymore.
  20. He wouldn't have been around in 2 rounds, let alone 3.
  21. Portland is proud to welcome Brett Sawyer back to the Portland Sports Arena.
  22. The fucked up thing is I know who WWC is taking but I haven't been trusted to be the surrogate so I don't feel comfortable doing it.
  23. What was Dennis Stamp doing in 83?
  24. I know a lot of people love Young, but I really don't see it with him. This may be a case where people who see him live are much more into him, but to me he's just a guy. He's good at certain things, but I've never seen anything out of him that makes me believe he should be pushed harder than he is
