  1. Cheetah master. Always great to see the PWI legend. Are the Hass brothers under WWF contract during this? They worked pretty well as heels here and Kevin Kelly was hilarious trolling hat guy. Ty Street looks like hardcore holly and is in most of the match. The finish stunned me but was good.
  2. Not much to say about this as it was really short. The ref in this is just the worst. Getting in the guys way, being way too overreactive to moves and jumping around. Ki's dive to end the match was insane. Kevin Kelly shows up and talks to Reckless youth about how he still works for Vince Mcmahon. OK for what it was.
  3. I don't get this Daniel Bryan is cooled off talk. He's easily the most over guy on Smackdown. Would he have been better put on Raw? Probably so. I think after Mania 30, anything Bryan could do would be seen as a step down. That was as good as you are gonna get in WWE. What is the level people think he should be at? World champion? And who are the true top guys in WWE besides Roman Reigns? Seth? Ambrose? I would put Bryan over both of them.
  4. This is what i think of when I think of indie wrestling in the northeast. Two bland guys working a bland match that isn't very exciting. I was surprised at the botches in this. Maverick lands on his neck during a backdrop that looks like it knocks him out. He finishes the match and even cuts a promo which is impressive. Doug Williams was ok but he was going way too fast at times and it showed with the botches.
  5. Cena is massive here but not as massive as he looked on that TLC special. He and CW had some good chemistry after a shaky start. Seeing Cena sell after being build as the prototype is interesting. CW putting over the local guy is good business. Surprised the announcers didn't even mention ECW.
  6. You know it's a shitty indie when they are doing commentary over the mic. Ki showed more emotion during this making fun of the other guys that he might have ever done. Chad is right about this being bad but at least it wasn't too terribly long.
  7. So that was Caprice? Thought it was but wasn't sure. He showed a lot of potential here. Some stuff worked and some didn't but at least he wasn't afraid to try new things. Lazz started off with comedy but then got serious which was nice. Onyx and Jeff G run in and hang Lazz over the rope. Fun tv match.
  8. Jeff G does a better super kick than HBK. Steve Martin is turning more and more into Randy Hales it's hilarious. As for the match, it isn't much but Gemini showed some potential. Does a big dive and almost lands into the crowd. When did Al Getz turn into a babyface? That's weird.
  9. This venue reminds me of the one MLW ran here in Orlando. Dark and very indie. First half of the match was good but then it turned into a mess with everyone doing dives, including the valet. Was that DJ Hyde that ran out after the match? It sure looked like it.
  10. I did not expect JC Dazz to be doing Mascara dorada type dives in 2000 but here we go. Onyx and AJ make a good team with AJ bumping all over the place and Onyx doing power moves. Chad is right about Wildside turning more and more into a tv promotion as the year goes on.
  11. So many streamers and double stomps. Ito's stomps look more painful than Perro Jr.'s. I enjoyed this with Ito doing everything she can to take Toyota down and Toyota fighting back in submissions. Not sure of the story behind this but it was easy to get into and cool to see Ito's mom cheering her on.
  12. Apparently, AAA threatened a lawsuit and CMLL decided it wasn't worth the hassle. That brings into question why they kept using him but I guess it was to get that money. I kinda hope Rush loses his hair at the anniversario show to Matt Taven just for the reactions. That card looks pitiful even by usual CMLL standards.
  13. Jim Fannin and the Bad Breed bury Bull Pain for no showing so Axl takes his place. This was alright but I agree with Astroboy. It was slow and full of Rotten laying around and slicing and dicing Craig. Craig takes a nice bump for the finish and then we get a vintage Ian promo.
  14. Lobo is intriguing to me. I don't think I've ever seen him in a non-deathmatch or even hit a wrestling move. He mostly takes sick bumps. Like a methed out Cactus Jack circa 1989. That bump from the scaffold to the floor really should have ended the match. Pain kicking out of a powerbomb from the top through a table was dumb. OK match
  15. You know I don't expect deathmatch wrestling crowds to be the class of wrestling but my god the racism towards Yamakawa during this was a bit much. The finish was a nice visual but between the weird colors and the what seemed like 30 minutes of crowd brawling in the dark, I couldn't get into this.
  16. I think this peaked with the introduction of Mitch Page as the 17th entrant in the Sweet Science tourney. Not enough blood for my taste. Especially from Cash who didn't do many deathmatches. The bump Cash took into the Glass looked like it hurt though.
  17. The crowd drops every gay slur they can think of at Ace for wearing pink and he gives it right back to him. I don't remember seeing Shark Boy this early in his career but he was decent as the comedy guy. Ace is always solid and that top rope powerbomb finish was sick.
  18. Decent opening tourney match. I don't think it's more possible to look more indie than Hero looks here. I popped for Prazak mentioning Gold bond. Was the Gold Bond Mafia even a thing at this time?
  19. I think Barry was supposed to face Mike sullivan and he got attacked or something like that. I thought Barry was a babyface during the interview but he was being a heel during the match. Pretty pedestrian stuff in front of what looked like 20 fans in a hockey stadium in St. Pete. Take a drink whenever there is a ref bump in a match in 2000.
  20. When was the last time the tag titles were defended on Worldwide? Has to be the early 90s. I try to forget maskless rey but he was still damn good in this match. 3 count was bumping everywhere for him. Shannon had some mistimed moments with Juvy but you can still see the potential.
  21. Flash turns more and more into Dolph Ziggler every OVW match I see with him. The disciples make a good tag team and I didn't hate this because it didn't feature walking tall refs. I can see why they kept Dinsmore as a babyface because it would work in 1988. However, in 2000, that character was a heel and he should have traded places with Conway or Flash.
  22. The pop for the return of the Boogaloo Crew was nice. Who were the American Males? They were no bagwell and Riggs. That Bailey promo at the end was intense.
  23. Lazz's entrance is something else. I didn't realise he was so jacked. Match was fine and I love AJ's show off gimmick. Lazz even goes after Jeff G Bailey.
  24. This is really hard to watch with all the crowd brawling and the camera missing it. The final bump I thought looked weak but was probably very painful for corp. Bambino tried hsi best not to just throw down Corp.
  25. If big e counts than so should Enzo and Cass. Sure they had a bad exit but no doubt they were stars as a team for a short time. Big e was in fcw during the final days. How are we defining "stars" from the PC anyways?
