There is few things better in Lucha that fired up Perro Jr. He and Latin Love beat the hell out of each other and bleed. Perro hits one of his crazy topes into the railing and the four continue to brawl. Even Pepicasas and Humberto Sr. get involved and braw. Factor in the hot crowd and this is one of the better AAA matches even if it's short. Good stuff.

This is one of those matches where the editing is really noticable but makes it better. No down time at all and Niebla and Charles are really motivated. Seeing Niebla take a sick bump to the floor was crazy. Infernales continues to be the best team in the world at the time and Satanico's shirt is amazing. Fun match.

Nice to see these guys motivated. I have no idea who Novillerito is but he was going 100 MPH and it ruled. He looked so fluid going up on the ropes and was flying all over the place.Mascarita and Octagoncito do insane dives to the outside and the rudos were bumping crazy too. That's all you can ask for with these matches. Better than most of the AAA minis matches we've seen so far.

Watching these Villanos matches, it's obvious that the Villanos were better as rudos than tecnicos. Especially IV and V. Villano III isn't bad as a tecnico. Anyways, this was alright. The Wagner bros owned this between Silver King's stooging and Wagner continuing his tradition of awesome low blows to Villano III.

WWC started back earlier this month. The interesting thing is they weren't the first promotion that started back on the Island after the Hurricane. CWA started back in January.

El Consadole is such a weird gimmick. He's wearing a Panama soccer shirt while wearing a Owl mask. I liked that instead of slapping hands, he gets fed bird feed by the fans.FM Taro is no Survival Torbita but he's not bad. Lots of comedy, some good and some bad. Taro goes and gets feed to get Consadole off the top rope. This isn't something you would rate and I'd say only watch it if you can suspend disblief but it is entertaining and weird.

That Wagner low blow was something else. It looked like he punched Villano in the face while doing it. I liked parts of this match: the low blow, Warrior's tope, Panther and 3 working the match. Still it was too short to really be great but it was fun.

I watched this for the Secret Santo project. This isn't your normal Hansen/Kawada match that would happen later in the 90's. Kawada is still kinda young boy Kawada and Hansen just demolishes him in about 6 minutes. Kawada gets some glimmer of hip but Hansen is just too much. The lariat Hansen gives for the finish is brutal.

Apparently, this was Perro's last match in Arena Naucalpan. I liked Perro's entrance with the kids following him around and mobbing him for autographs. Villano's seemed happy to be wrestling him and sell everything big. Sure this was a little slow but it was a fun house show match. Villano III gets a lot of air on his senton from the top in the second. I'm surprised Perro didn't bleed in this.

Good to see some fresh blood in the minis scene even if they aren't' very good. Only so many times a person can watch a Rocky/Abismo vs Octagoncito/Mascarita match. Mascarita did seem a little motivated with his dives. I liked the opening vignette with mini Jesus Zuniga and Big Kahos kicking mini Khaos in the butt at a amusement park.

Zandig vs Car might be one of the best feuds in 2000 so far. The atmosphere around this match makes it for me. The fire, the fans running for their lives when the car comes through, the smoke from the fire, Zandig tied to a ring post trying to stop the car from running into him. Just awesome. Sure the match wasn't very good but i was entertained. Also babyface Gage and Jun makes me laugh every time.

This is one bloody match. As usual, Perro bleeds just by walking into the ring cage. Liked the capos attacking Perro after he escapes in their coats. Once this turns into Villano vs Mascara, it gets a little long and boring till the finish. Villano bleeds a gusher on his arm. Finish was nice as the crowd goes crazy. I also liked the random explosions during the match. The first one scares the guys.

[2000-08-04-CMLL] Mr Niebla & Villano IV vs Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero
Tim Evans replied to soup23's topic in August 2000
I gotta agree with OJ on this. Infernales were pretty good but the tecnicos didn't add much. I wouldn't call it a squash but this was about as dominant as Satanico/tarzan. I wonder if the Emilio injury changed things? Probably would have been better if Villano V replaced Niebla. -
Man the Wagner/Casas parts of this were so great. Just two bulls going at each other. Wagner destroys him with a powerbomb and the next fall, casas nails him with a punch. Always fun to see flying porky. Looks like he takes out Bestia's leg with the catch of Porky's dive. Loved the ending with Casas taunting Wagner by showing his ass while the producer is trying to get Wagner to leave. Real fun match.

It took me a while to realise this was a loser advances match. I agree with the rest of you that this was awesome. Especially Solar/Panther and the finish. Gladiador does a HOF worthy bladejob. He bleeds so much that he can barely stand for the mask reveal. Is this the same guy that is part of the backstage power group in CMLL these days? He really brought it in the finish which is refreshing to see. Another highlight was Pantea bumping on the floor on a dive and no one catching him.

Exhibition is the right word for this. Almost a greatest hits of Virus and Ricky Marvin in front of a dead crowd. Nice to see Tarzan Boy with Ricky. This went the right length at just a little under 10 minutes. Virus is so fluid on the mat it's insane he's in the same position today as he was back then. Fun match if not a little dry.

Dirtbike Kid throws what might be the worst dropkick ever to start the match. That was just pitifull. The story of this match is Sabu killing kid with a spike and vicious chairshots. Kid does a few nice dives but overall looks bad. Sabu getting more and more mad as the tables kept breaking was funny. That finish looked pretty bad even if Sabu hit him.

Nice to see the good guys fight back against Togo and Buffalo. Tsubasa is fast and I dig Murahama as the small guy that has some shooty offense. Then Togo gets busted open and lays out fools with clotheslines. I liked the end where he was going for the pedigree but decided not to and just went with the senton. Good match.
