  1. Is that the first top rope 3d ever hit? That was nice. I had no idea RVD/sabu were still the tag champs.
  2. I loved this. Rock talking trash on the mic and then Stone cold showing up with his big ass monster truck and takes out cars. I liked how he just drives into the arena. That beats flair going into the van to a mental instution.
  3. Vince running down the hall way yelling "son of a bitch" that is supposed to be the WWE studios but it really the arena was amazing. Stephanie's voice does sound different here but man even back then I couldn't stand her. Still can't.
  4. Rock looks like a 1980s drug lord with the no shirt suit. Lots of piped in noise it seems.
  5. I didn't like this as much as you guys but it was good. The finish was just awful. Two ref bumps and a non finish with Nash helping goldberg? Why would Goldberg accept the help from a guy that embarassed him a couple months before this? Most importantly, why is Dusty Rhodes on commentary? I thought he was gone by this time?
  6. Poor Flair. Does the clean job to Nash and then gets put into a van that looks really unsafe. I guess this was the start of the George/Lil Naitch feud? I'm still surprised to see Arn take bumps given how bad his neck was.
  7. The Gator fan in me loves that Flair is such a big fan. It will help his GWE case. Anyways, this is amazing. Flair is out of his mind throwing his shoes and clothes into the crowd. They go bonkers for him. Arn pulls a Fred Sanford and is hilarious as the straight man. Piper is useless though. Why would the commissioner be able to tell the president what to do? Piper is like Vince Mcmahon circa 1994 with all the 90's references. Slingblade, Al Bundy etc.
  8. I gotta agree with tim. This had some real good spots especially the dives. However, it went on too long and had a ton of those "stop the pin" spots that make me hate 4 way matches. It also seemed like the crowd was chanting "boring" in the middle of the match which is weird. Good match but not great.
  9. I've been watching the Memphis wars of 99 and I get a kick out of KAW. They were taping tv at a strip club and running house shows at the same building PPW was running at the New Daisy theater. Dundee and Rogers were part of the heel "old school" group with Tracy Smothers, Steven Dunn, Reno Riggins and Wolfie D. I think Wolfie was gone from the company by this time but maybe not. Danny B gets bloodied up by JC, Fabulous Rocker and Tommy Rogers. Fun fact: Rocker once feuded with Daniel Bryan over the same lightweight title Danny B has.
  10. This is my feud of the year so far. Arn is such a good heel manager getting his shots in behind the refs back. This was a good match with a hot crowd which was rare on Saturday night.
  11. Derrick King turned heel after helping Randy Hales beat Brandon Baxter in a cage match to regain control of Power Pro the previous week before this. Kid Wikkid had a handicap match when Derrick no showed so Wikkid is hot. Lawler beats the champs by himself which does a lot for the tag division.
  12. I guess this is the start of Stacy's exhibitionist era as she threatens to be naked at the house show. Keep in mind this is taking place at 10 am on a Saturday morning. I wonder if Dundee has four flat tires?
  13. Hayes had been champion for a while after beating Baldo. Baldo then turned babyface and joined up with Hayes. This is a good promo but Hayes's promos were all the same around this time. Also Kulka was billed as Hayes cousin.
  14. Vader wrestling the whole match without his mask is weird. I guess he took the mask loss to Kane legit? I liked the clipped match earlier in the year better than this but this was still good. I agree about Vader being a little less vader like. The WWF run seemed to have killed his fire but he started getting it back here.
  15. Flair is in full comedy mode here as dummy president with Arn playing the straight man.
  16. So DDP is still a babyface here after turning heel in Canada. Kim nails Steiner with that chairshot. Piper does commentary like Royal Rumble 91 with Virgil.
  17. Did Nash have to use the music video budget for the month or something. Lots of mentions of WWF by Bret from Later.
  18. I liked this. Nice call back to a year and half earlier when Austin threw the title off the bridge. Now dummy Austin goes over the bridge.
  19. Mankind's head is on a mount like a deers head.
  20. Goldust drops the title clean. Where's Meanie and Goldust being reborn. This was weird.
  21. It would have been ice if DDP won after Savage hit the elbow, not Flair no selling it then getting hit with the diamond cutter. Still nice moment.
  22. Goldberg takes out the ref with a spear to the groin and then puts the testicular claw on Nash. Nash even does a leapfrog. Big pop from the crowd when Goldberg wins tho.
  23. They did about 2 ref bumps in a matter of minutes. Booker is still not a star but he's getting there.
  24. This was a modern take of a Southern tag. It's a match that wouldn't look out of place on a 2005 WWE show. Benoit/Malenko were a real good heel tag team with Arn as the manager. Benoit doing a diving headbutt on the steel chair is real tough to watch knowing what happened.
  25. Loved this match. Blitzkreig was such a different type of high flyer than the rest of the crusierweights at the time. His dives were just sick. It's a shame he didn't last long. Juvi looked good too and the finish was great.
