[1995-08-04-SMW-Superbowl of Wrestling] Heavenly Bodies vs The Thugz
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Another ether ending? Isn't this the second time this finish has appeared on the set? Good match though with the Bodies bumping all over the place. Stunt Granny tries to attack the heels outside. -

That Powerbomb botch could have been real ugly. -
[1995-08-04-SMW-Superbowl of Wrestling] Al Snow vs Marty Jannetty
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
This was a pretty good match that took a while to get into. Snow had some great bumps to the outside and Jannetty could go. Interesting to see the crowd go wild when Snow wins.- 6 replies

Would Shawn Michaels Make Your Personal Top 100?
Tim Evans replied to Dylan Waco's topic in The Microscope
Which Mascarita Sagrada are we talking about? The original? Tzuki? Mascarita Dorada? I don't think I would put either ahead of Shawn. Same goes for Sangre Chicana and Jerry Estrada too. Sangre is still wresting which hurts his legacy and Estrada, while I like him more than Othani's Jacket, A lot of his stuff hasn't held up. LA Park is a good comedy wrestler and I liked his after WCW run but what are some of the must see matches he's had that are better than Shawn's top tier? I'm interested in if you would put guys like Virus, PG13 or Buddy Landell over Shawn? -
Would Shawn Michaels Make Your Personal Top 100?

I'd like to hear a case for Abdullah The Butcher over Shawn? Or even Magnum TA who I kinda like. And How many El Dandy matches have you seen Dylan? His AAA run vs Heavy Metal? Current day Dandy? -
[1995-08-22-ECW-TV] The Sandman vs Mikey Whipwreck (Singapore Cane)
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
This wasn't as violent as the Dreamer caining but it was still brutal. Woman was so great during this. "It's not you I want, IT'S HIM". -
Joey was actually funny here trying to get him to stop smoking.

This was alright but I'm still not convinced about Hayabusa. That Awesome bomb from the top rope was nasty. I thought Awesome's best opponent was Tanaka?

This along with Hakushi in WWF are signings I never quite understood. Although at least Kurasawa had guys like Benoit and Hawk to work with.

Was Hogan even at Andre's funeral. Yeah this is pretty disgusting but a good Hogan interview. I never got the point of the shirt though?

[1994-10-30-AAA-Sin Limite] Blue Panther vs El Mariachi
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in October 1994
He was only Mariachi for a short time. I think he changed gimmicks cause AAA was changing gimmicks most of the old UWA guys at the time.- 11 replies

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I got a question about Kane. I'm currently watching USWA 1997 and Kane is Doomsday there. He kinda looked like a modern version of Lord Humongus down to the mask. If memory serves me right, the Kane character was first talked about in April 1997 when Glenn Jacobs was still Fake Diesel. Did WWF always plan to have him play Kane or were they thinking about picking someone else? It would have been interesting to see them bring him in as Doomsday instead of Kane. And Justin Credible being named "PG187" as the third member of PG13 doing the same gimmick before he started in ECW was funny. He was dressed like Konnan in the early days of the gimmick. -

She and Cindi were out in the ring with Layla. Out comes Heath Slater who is doing a anti past wrestler gimmick. He starts singing and Piper comes out. He gives Cindi a Record and Heath talks trash again. Cindi then hits slater over the head and busts him open. All during this, Michael Cole was playing the heel and making snide remarks/laughing. It was pretty bad so I had it on mute the whole time and missed Cole talking. I'm surprised Wendi even did it given that she bashed the WWE hall of fame a couple weeks ago with bitter Bruno. I guess it could have been worse? -

I don't remember Shinja being around this long? He trips up Bret to start the match. Good TV match from Bret.

7/24/1995 seems to be a good day for All Japan. I liked this match too. Started off kinda slow but it got going quick. Kawada gets dropped right on his head. Good finish too.

The Carnival match was better but this was a fun war. Both guys go all out with the strikes. Didn't care much for the finish but it doesn't hurt the match. Taue rules.
