Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
This was good but man, Flair can't even get a win in Japan?- 4 replies

That branbuster Hash did at the end was just brutal. Good match with lots of slaps and punches.- 4 replies

[1995-08-12-SMW-Fire on the Mountain] Buddy Landell vs Brad Armstrong
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Not sure why this was a Lumberjack match since they did nothing except hold tennis rackets Armstrong hits Landell with a tennis racket that Cornette brought out to win the title. Landell then dumps Cornette.- 4 replies

[1995-08-12-SMW-Fire on the Mountain] Al Snow & Unabomb vs The Thugz
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Was Cornette the special Ref in this? Mark Curtis comes down and raises Cornette's arm to count the 3. Snow cries into the mic after the match. I don't think this was from SMW TV? -
[1995-08-12-WCW-Saturday Night] Hulk Hogan and Vader
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
It's a shame that Vader was gone before he could team with Hogan. Hogan should have put on Vader's head gear while he was sitting by it.- 5 replies

Giant also yanks Hogan's chain off and chokes out Hogan. Hogan's pants are out of control here. Very funny- 5 replies

[1995-08-12-USWA-TV] Heavenly Bodies vs PG-13 / Interview: PG-13
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Looks like Cornette was calling the match for the guys from ringside. I don't think the bodies ever appeared at the studio did they? -
[1995-08-12-USWA-TV] USWA vs SMW (Cage) / Interview: Doug Gilbert
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
I liked this promo more than Loss but I'm a big fan of Doug so that might be why? He's no Dusty Rhodes in the babyface promo stage and this went on a little too long but it was still really good. Also, I think I saw Gorgeous George III(Maestro of WCW fame) in that cage. That match had too many people in it. -
I'm pretty sure this is from CMLL cause Felino wasn't in AAA till 99/2000.

[1995-08-12-NJPW-G1 Climax] Keiji Muto vs Masa Chono
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Best part of this was Hiro Saito shielding Muto's elbow outside and then getting into a fight with the ref. Muto surviving the STF for that long was very Cena like. Good match.- 4 replies

[1995-08-12-NJPW-G1 Climax] Shinya Hashimoto vs Kensuke Sasaki
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
I thought this was mostly boring with good things in between. The chops while on knees spot was nice. The restholds were not. Felt more like a house show match than a G1 match- 4 replies

Didn't Woman turn on Sullivan when he was feuding with Abby in ECW 93? I remember she was at the cage match and Abby attacked her.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I'm watching the final days of the USWA in August 1997 and Bradshaw debuts as a member of Dutch Mantel's "Team Icon" with Rod Price and Doomsday(Kane). During a interview, Bradshaw mentions it was Dutch who found Bradshaw in Europe and brought him to the WWF. I know Dutch worked for the WWF as Uncle Zeb in 95/96 managing the Blu Brothers and Bradshaw but was he also a member of Creative? Like Bill Dundee in WCW when he managed Regal and worked behind the scenes too. -
NXT is basically FCW tv except it's not called FCW tv. I wonder if they are going to phase out Superstars and replace it with the long rumored Crusierweight shot?

I really enjoyed Tommy's feud with PG13 in 1995. Then he teamed with them when SMW invaded USWA. Apparently Face Tommy Rich vs Heel billy Jack Haynes happened around this time and I need to see that. Plus Tommy is a top 5 manager of all time with his run with the FBI.

I always like how Muto gets angry and storms out whenever he jobs. This was ok and a good start to the G1.- 4 replies

[1995-08-08-ECW-TV] Music Video: Mikey Whipwreck vs Sandman
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
Great video. Mikey showing more emotion in that little promo at the end than he ever has before. -
Heenan's reaction to the breakup reminds me of Jesse's reaction to the Hollywood Blondes breakup. This match made the horsemen look weak. Hogan can beat Vader by himself but they can't? Weak

[1995-08-04-SMW-Superbowl of Wrestling] Shawn Michaels vs Buddy Landell
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in August 1995
What was up with the timecode? Did this air on tv like that cause it's got commentary from Chip and Les? Good match with Buddy looking like a top star. Buddy also sold the Sweet Chin Music great.
