  1. Mark Curtis was so underrated as the heel ref. Should have done that in WCW. Good promos from both teams.
  2. Awesome match that doesn't feel like the usual All Japan "epic' style and just guys beating the crap out of each other. Kawada and Kobashi were the stars of this but everyone played a part in it. Kawada going from Kobashi to Misawa and punching them in the face ruled. Really enjoyed this.
  3. This felt very New Japan Juniors style and was not what I was expecting. First 10 minutes or so was kinda boring with the mat work but it got better. Especially when Hayabusa did the dive. Oya is very very 90's.
  4. Toyota's first move in this match is a damn german suplex. No use to complain about it I guess. Anyways, good match with Aja just killing Toyota with multiple moves that caused her to fall on her neck. It's a wonder Toyota didn't break her neck multiple times. I find it funny that Toyota kicked out of all these moves and then loses to Aja's backfist. I know it's Aja's finisher and is treated like Big Show's WMD but it's still funny to me.
  5. It was a pretty good match. Drew should be on tv every week and it's nice to see Christian almost back in 2010 form.
  6. BILL MURRAY inducting George Steele!!! How did that happen? And Savio accepting for Pedro Morales since he was in WCW. Good segment.
  7. On a Lifeguard stand of all places. Such a great character.
  8. He was fun in USWA 1997 as fake Diesel. Seeing this makes me sad that the tag team with Al Snow is no more.
  9. That's a lot of lumberjacks at ringside. Shawn has to take the glory though and dive onto them. I forgot about Erik Watts being in WWF at the time?
  10. No. He was one of my favorites at the time. This was awful though. I felt bad for Mabel when he had to sit there while fans were throwing trash. I think he even got nailed right in the face with a drink.
  11. This wasn't as bad as the 5 minute Cena make a wish segment they do every week it seems.
  12. I remember watching this when my mother got this for me for my 10th birthday. The part where Lawler vomited made me do the same thing. Glad you guys didn't include that. It wasn't a horrible match but boy did Hakushi look weak in this. Screwing up twice by hitting lawler. And how does Hat guy keep getting front row seats in Philly?
  13. This was kinda boring. The wrestling was good but just no heat or emotion at all. Eddy didn't seem to want to be there and beats Koji with a move that Koji hit 5 minutes earlier as a transition move.
  14. That Trish photo was taken before her WWF run wasn't it?
  15. I'm watching some more USWA 1997. Up to June 1997 and it's getting really depressing. The ECW/USWA started and Dreamer is headed to town to take on Lawler. I was surprised at how little Lawler was on USWA tv at the time. They were down to about 2 house shows a week in small towns in Mississippi and Arkansas. The big feuds were Fake Razor vs Fake Diesel with Vince Mcmahon of all people sending in a interview bashing Fake Razor. He pretty much killed the Fake Razor character and said he didn't have enough talent to play the role and Scott Hall was better. Billy Travis was also in the territory feuding with Brian Christopher over guitars. He did a concert one week on TV and the next week, guys like HBK and Mankind were cutting promos on how bad it was. Mankind had a funny line that went like "I only have one ear but listening to you sing made me wish I lost both ears." Another big feud was Dutch Mantel vs Lance Russell/Stacy/Michael St. John. Dutch was a announcer for a couple weeks till Michael came back. This caused Dutch to turn heel and start feuding with the announcers while burying the product. It was very much like Lawler vs Cole. Almost too alike. I think people will get a kick out of some of this stuff on the 1997 Yearbook.
  16. So not only do they have music blasting during the interview but piped in cheers too? Oh WCW never change.
  17. Snow calls Morton "Beavis" and namedrops the OJ trial. Awesome.
  18. Summeroff Curtis cuts a better heel promo than babyface. Randy Hales is just.. well Randy Hales. I love when he goes crazy and starts taking his clothes off. He's so awkward and funny.
  19. Les keeps calling Brad "Bradley". I think he was the only one that did that?
  20. This is like a lesser version of current day CMLL singles main events. I didn't care for it much cause it never went anywhere. Kinda boring really
  21. I don't think this is better than Mania but still a hell of a match. Savage just goes to war and I like how he just calmly makes his entrance instead of running to the ring. Poffo's interference is also good.
  22. Heenan called the Spinebuster a "Sidewalk slam". Sad to see Arn job to this guy.
  23. I didn't like this as much as Loss but it was still good. Panther and Rey held this together with Parka, Psicosis and Fuerza also doing a decent job. Santo was disappointing I thought with Psicosis. Rey/Panther section in the first was so great. I wish they had a singles match together.
  24. Fun as hell match. It's obvious that Sagrada and Espectrito are above everyone else but the others do a good job too. Super Munequito is a favorite of mine since I'm such a huge fan of the Trio Fantasia. His exchanges with Espectrito is fast and pretty.
  25. Who pimped this? Meltzer? Rob? This was awful. Winners was a bad tecnico and while Marabunta's bladejob is great, he seemed out of it. Plus you had shitty rudo ref tactics by Tirantes and overuse of seconds. Bad match.
