on the flip side, Tony Baggadonuts is at go-away heat level with me.

Coked up Thea Hale is getting over with me.

Big Daddy Nick is still staying as CEO, if he leaves then I think you can say everyone's fleeing the ship.

Steph was going to step aside to take time off before all this Vince stuff happened and she got John Moxley'd into staying. Her deciding to leave doesn't necessarily mean the end of the world is ending for anyone else, she just might have reached the end of her rope with this BS and decided to walk away.

That's another reason I assumed Vince wouldn't want to get lost in the weeds doing creative shit, even in the best of circumstances it was going to be a fistfight taking back the BOD.
-
Overall I thought Raw was better than I expected since I assumed they were going to punt this week. The Usos having challengers on both shows is probably the best the tag division has been booked in a decade.

WWE music fell off a cliff after they got rid of Jim Johnston. Dude gave them banger after banger, and ever since it's been a sorry parade of Limp Bizkit wannabes.

Hurt Business vs Bloodline? Don't cock tease us Hunter.

Hardened Felon Dom is going to be great if he just goes full Razor with it.

Man, has anyone flipped the switch like Rhea? It's amazing how much the Judgement Day deal has helped her.

Bayley flying to Japan mid week just to support her homie's appearance in the Dome was the first feelgood story of 2023.

Drawing attention to Raw being in Alabama on the night of the National Championship and therefore reminding everyone (Alabama's not in it but they've been pretty much synonymous with college football for the last decade or so) isn't a move I'd make, but I guess that's why Uncle Paul is smarter than me. Also KO summed up my opinion of Corbin's whole career by snoozing in the corner during his promo.

AEW TV 1/4 and 1/6 - The One Where Danielson Wrestles Nese

I was trying to put my finger on what was going wrong with her, and you nailed it. She comes off less heelish and more "well my BFF is kind of an asshole now but I'm still gonna stand by her". -

Funny how no one here seems to like the JAS or anything Jericho-related, but when they all showed up at PWG this weekend the nerds lost their minds. -
Yeah that just seems to just cement that Vince is just back to maximize his cash out and not really interested in running the day to day shit. Which at his age, why would he? I know he's a legendary workaholic, but he's 77 and got a taste of not having to be awake for a week straight coming up with a mid show segment for Raw. (having said this, I realize this is Vince and I wouldn't be surprised if tonight's show is jus him jerking off in the ring for three hours)

Music aside, being associated with Raven (either feuding with him or being in a stable with him) ended up being a launching point for several folks getting over in ECW. Maybe he wasn't exactly on the pulse of the cultural zeitgeist, but he was a vital part of a company that ended up making the Big Two change how they did business.
-
The Raven character was 90s grunge in human form, more or less, especially in ECW.
-
The announcers talk like normal humans now, angles aren't dropped after a week or two, shows aren't being torn up and re written hours before shows. Yeah, WWE is still the McDonalds of pro wrestling, but at least now your Big Mac isn't being dragged through a crazy old man's buttcheeks.

Botch jokes aside, Top Dolla has lost a significant amount of weight and went from looking like a monster to just slightly larger WWE Sports Entertainer.

It does seem Vince's end game here is to pump up the value by getting another megabucks TV deal and then cashing out. His boy MBS was mentioned as someone interested in making a bid. Wouldn't it just be the perfect end to the McMahon Era of WWE to sell to the Saudis? Also it had to have made Vince extra salty that after all those years of "only Vince can do this", not only did WWE not fall apart without him it got noticeably better when he left.
-
It seems like this is a "fuck you" move by Vince, he wants to come back so he can cash out. He's always talked about being open for business (ie: he'd listen to offers if someone was interested in buying) when it comes to selling the company. Saw it mentioned that since he stated he won't allow any TV deals to happen without his approval, that could open the door for AEW. If WBD doesn't invoke the option year they're said to have, a TV station can get like 2/3rds the ratings of WWE for 1/2 the price with the added bonus of not having to deal with Vince and his bullshit.

Swerve is on a different level than most of them. He just oozes charisma and his in ring is smooth as silk. I would agree on Keith Lee, especially since a big guy who can work would seem tailor made for WWE, but there was always going to be the obvious reason he would never reach his ma potential in a Vince-run company. -

You're not wrong, but I won't complain about anything that gives us more Bryan matches.
