  1. Huh, so the Druids weren't working for Taker all this time and were just the official WWE coffin handlers? Damn. This is shaking me like finding out Uncle Ivan was Canadian.
  2. Mandy Rose fighting off Alba's minions and various Legally Distinct looking movie monsters, this is amazing.
  3. This Toxic Attraction skit turned the corner from "stupid" to "stupid, but I fuckin love it" for me. Gigi as the one who knows she's probably getting murdered but is hype af because that's kind of her thing had me dead.
  4. He's good at a lot of the Big Guy Stuff, but WWE can't seem to figure out how to push a guy who looks like El Hijo de Herman Munster.
  5. I love that it's apparently canon in NXT that Gigi Dolan has to carry a black rose at all times she's not in a match.
  6. He is by far. Wes Lee winning was the payoff for the redemption arc he was on after his fuckhead partner derailed his career.
  7. Holy shit, RIP Robert Stone's balls after that
  8. No way, he's obviously money waiting to happen and he doesn't have the handicap of it all hinging on the whims of a drug addled 76 year old man anymore.
  9. I like to think that a little part of Scott Hall's legacy is a cure for people who are afraid to walk under ladders. He made it look so cool people still want to imitate it.
  10. He has the big rasslin' show on XM radio I think.
  11. Man, Damon Kemp is going to end up being the bizarro world version of Lanny Poffo isn't he? Everyone was like "I guess that was a requirement when they signed Gable" at first, and now there is a very real chance he's going to be the bigger star.
  12. There are really only two options that make sense re: Punk's actions from the promo on Page and after: 1. He knew or at least believed the Elite was burying him so he just said "fuck this place" and went nuclear. or 2. He was just being the surly dickhead he has been known to be forever. Neither really makes him look super great. There's a reason the reaction Dave got from people in WWE was "now they know what we had to deal with", but I suppose that could have been anti Punk forces painting a narrative again.
  13. I love that Tony Schiavone coming in to the ring unexpectedly is AEW's version of hitting the lotto. Watching it slowly dawn on her what was about to happen was great.
  14. Rush must have brought one of those AAA tables that refuses to break, yeesh.
  15. So I'm guessing Arya Divari's gimmick is "billionaire's kid everyone feels is unworthy"? It's like Tony based a whole character around what WWE stans say about him.
  16. Tag match on Rampage was dumb fun. It played out exactly like you thought it would but it was entertaining the whole way. I love Jade stepping in to save the show because that's what boss bitches do.
  17. Leaning in to Logan Paul's natural douchebag tendencies was such a no brainer move but I'm still kinda shocked WWE did it.
  18. Also ngl I dug that Omos/Braun showdown, the match is going to be absolute dogshit for sure, but WWE is good at getting you hyped up to see stuff like that.
  19. It will be, but I can't deny when the turn finally happens there won't be a part of me that will be like "aww, dang".
  20. Why does WWE keep making Ronda look like she has increasingly worse eye infections? Jesus H. At least they've accepted that she's in that category Randy Orton used to be in where they're 100% better as heels because they both are kind of IRL assholes naturally.
  21. We all love Sami, but is it weird I think it's underrated that he took something as ridiculous as "Sami Zayn gets adopted by the Bloodline" and get it over to the point it's legit going to be a little sad when it ends?
  22. I don't see Punk ever returning to WWE. Yeah, money's money but Punk is a Hall of Fame level grudge holding bastard and I don't see him ever getting over them trying to kill him with Z-paks. I know, I know everyone's going to mention the Fox show but there's a difference between being a talking head on a recap type show and going back to the daily grind of WWE. AEW gets solid ratings that even if things go sideways with WB/Discovery they should have little problem getting a new TV deal with another network. Also Daddy Carter kept Dixie on a short leash financially and (as far as I know) TNA never made much money under their run. They famously had embarrassingly low PPV buys even when they were getting a million+ viewers on TV and AEW has done over 100k for every PPV they've done. I suppose if you thought AEW was going to swoop in and overtake WWE as the market leader within a few years you were going to be disappointed. WWE is the Name Brand in pro wrestling and has been running as a de facto monopoly for 20+ years, I'm sure that's Tony's long term goal for the future but it wasn't the short term goal. Being able to carve out a spot as a successful #2 company that has partnerships with companies across the world is an impressive feat in of itself, and honestly more than I expected when this all kicked off.
  23. Yeah the Santo/Octagon team is on there pretty much because When Worlds Collide is when most of the Internet lost their Lucha cherry.
  24. IIRC the bruises left on Daniel were consistent with where your hands/arms would be if someone put him in that hold. I don't think it was ever 100% confirmed but it was one of those "all signs point to" situations. That's also the reason everyone was kind of against anyone using that move in wrestling for a while afterwards.
  25. Recency bias is a hell of a drug. People are going to be more inclined to vote for someone who's either currently being awesome or has been not to long ago as opposed to someone who was a bonafide GOAT in an era where no one had access to watch Joshi like we do now.
